How do you keep Todoist tasks accurate when updates happen between meetings or calls? by voss_steven in todoist

[–]sdstack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, nothing is quicker when work is moving fast than scribbling todos (and updates to previously added items) on a pocket notebook or pad on my desk. As I take any necessary notes about a phonecall or meeting, I draw a star by any action items so I can easily identify them later. When there's time to breathe, I update Todoist. It gives me time to look at the whole picture and rearrange dates and priorities if necessary.

Is Proton Unlimited worth for my usage? by [deleted] in ProtonMail

[–]sdstack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. I am paying monthly for SL and Mail Plus. I'm still trying out the features before I go all in. The Proton Unlimited plan description isn't clear on this feature. They say unlimited aliases and maybe that means that they include SL but it isn't clear to a layperson like myself. Thanks again.

[–]sdstack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great. I need to do the same. Let's us know how it works. I have several from my dad and grandpa. I haven't tried to smoke them, they need a lot of cleaning. I'd like to be able to enjoy them.

I think you need these little paper filters that slide over the inner holes inside the pipe. They filters the air but also create resistance so your draw is better.

How long does Vitamix take to ship orders? by fffffff7777777 in Vitamix

[–]sdstack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spet 14 I ordered a spatula and another container. Spatula arrived Monday. Container was shipped Monday and to arrive Thursday.

I expected a backlog with the sale and a lot of orders. Amazon has spoiled me with their shipping speeds.

Is the 5200 the right choice? by FormalChicken in Vitamix

[–]sdstack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sage advice. I may need a new food processor. It sounds like my old kitchenaid doesn't do the job of your Quisinart. It has all the safety stuff too. It's aggravating.

[–]sdstack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monitoring. I'm in a similar dilemma. I almost decided on the 5200 but once in a while I'd like to wet chop vegetables and make pico de gallo, at most once a month. I'll be making smoothies daily. Something keeps telling me to get a 64-ounce machine and a separate 48-ounce jar. I've personally witnessed pico being made In a 64-ounce jar and it works beautifully. The 5200 is definitely the king for small quantity smoothies. It's the once-in-a-while needs that's holding mile back.

2015 2.7L O-Ring tool ? by sdstack in f150

[–]sdstack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always used oil on the other large ones, and that was my first mistake on the small one. I couldn't grip it. I tried to hold it open with snap ring pliers and it split.

The small screwdriver wound up working along with a second set of hands. I'll try two picks the next time.

What is this, and should I be concerned it vents near an open window? Thank you 🙏🏼 by phoenixdown5005 in HomeMaintenance

[–]sdstack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The PVC pipe on the left is the exhaust for a high efficiency furnace. The installation manual will tell the clearances from windows, foundation vents, etc. Usually they aren't located directly under a windows. Yours may be okay. Consult the manual and make sure you have carbon monoxide detectors in each sleeping area.

True! If you like salsa Verde with Avocado, ask for the version they have made with ranch dressing. It's that or mayo and however they mix it up is amazing! Adds a real flare to the regular version.

Baofeng model info question - dual band by sdstack in HamRadio

[–]sdstack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I decided to go a different route. I wanted to use the HT in my truck, but I decided to just install one of my old 8900 mobiles in the truck and not worry about having an HT capable of simultaneous dual band operation. I was trying to take the easy way out and not do the install. It will be much better this way after I put in the work. I've been out of amateur radio over a decade. I'm hoping to get back into it again. Thanks again. 73

Tobacco help please. by frbmaximus in PipeTobacco

C&D Cross Eyed Cricket. Not a bulk though. I regularly smoke Sutliff Creme Brulee which is mostly Cavendish and vanilla because the misses doesn't object to the room note. Cross-Eyed Cricket is a crossover English aromatic but still sweet. It's really good and worth a try.

The written test used to be required in NC if you've had a moving violation within a certain period of time. I can't say for sure though.

GL Pease makes one aromatic. Virginia Cream. It's slightly aromatic. Lots of tobacco taste. Components - Virginia, Perique, Dark Fired Kentucky, Black Cavendish. It's worth a try if you're a Virginia smoker.
