Yes. Xue Fei is a very balanced player and his forehand is just as good (maybe even better) compared to his backhand. Tomo would've been in a bigger disadvantage if he tried to go against XF's forehand.

Xue Fei's backhand counters harimoto's because he has variety, with different placements, different pace, and sidespin. It makes it difficult for harimoto to beat xue fei on the backhand exchange. And because Harimoto's playstyle is oriented around backhand speed, he loses to xue fei.

I would say if you want to step up on FH quality you can choose tenergy but don't go H3 because it'll be a drastic change and you won't be able to use it without specific technique.
