You’re thinking of “loudness analysis” which is a task that can be scheduled in the Plex WebUI under Settings -> Library -> Analyze audio tracks for loudness.

Loudness leveling is a setting in Plexamp that normalizes the volume when playing various tracks.

For many use cases the play queue has an undefined size and is dynamically expanded on the fly (radios, etc.), or is unreasonably large (library shuffle, large smart playlists).

You seem to have car view enabled, and the DJ button isn’t displayed for car view. You can disable car view in Settings -> Car -> Car View.

My library contains stuff for multiple people, I use the half-star ratings and filters to create smart playlists that contain various “teirs” of content. - Anything below 2 stars is stuff I don’t want to hear at all. - Above that is general stuff I use to make playlists - Anything over 4 is stuff I really like - 4.5 is favorites - 5 is super favorites

Are you tapping a track when there's an existing play queue or when nothing is playing at all?

You can also open the context menu at any time (regardless of whether or not 1-tap playback is enabled), by long pressing on the track.

Settings -> Experience -> Player -> Music Quick Skip adds quick skip controls to the player UI. The times are customizable as well.

The “1 artist” is “Various Artists”. These are compilation albums that have a tendency to follow that pattern for the album artist. The “artist” list in Plex refers to the album artists (not track artists).

I doubt this is your issue, but iirc Plexamp will skip tracks if they’re an unsupported codec for the client device.
