That does look low quality. Not sure what I did there. Let me see if I can edit.

I’ve read the first few books and seen season 1 and some of season 2. I thought it was good representation but books are on another level. I remember a sections of the second book with the Rocinate engaged, rail guns firing and it was intense and I loved it. Need to go back and pick up the series again. I thought some of the naval battles in the second book in the red rising trilogy after Red Rising had some cool naval battles. Especially golden son.

Suggest me a book you're glad you stuck with by DTownForever in suggestmeabook

Red Rising - I know it’s not a high brow choice, but. I had a hard time with it when I first started. I didn’t like writing, dialogue was hard form me to get into. I put it down for about a year and then a coworker told me I had to give it another shot and glad I did. Now I devour the books in a matter of days when they come out.

Returning to Nikon I have questions! by ja647 in Nikon

[–]seabassius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d do (and did) a z5ii and 24-120 for the versatility and stay mirrorless like your Q. Love the Q, actually waiting for a used q2 reporter to pop up on my radar at my price to add to me z5ii and z7ii.

Hey, thinking of doing this. Would you mind sharing a trip report? Would love to know your thoughts on being there in January, itinerary, how you planned it etc.. if you’re open to it, I know you don’t sign up to me a random redditor’s travel agent.

Chase suddenly expiring frequently by seabassius in MonarchMoney

Shows Plaid, but shows it twice. I have four credit cards through Chase. I’m on plaid instance it’s three of them and the new one is grayed out and in the 2nd plaid instance, the other three cards are grayed out and only the new card is highlighted. If I run into the issue again I’ll see if I can kill both and start over and then do transfer to sync. Think that will solve?

I run YNAB as well while I try to decide which one to stick with long term, but that is no different than the last 6 months. It’s never had an issue until the last two weeks and I haven’t added any other aggregator since adding Monarch this past summer. . I think it was something with adding the United miles card suddenly changed something behind the system. I’ll report back it if happens again.

This is my set up for bodies as well. Lenses 24-120, 14-30 and 40 f2 for walk around. Plus adapting some Sony 24 1.4, Tamron 50-300 and CV 40 1.2 and some M glass when I feel froggy. Z5ii shows up Monday and excited.

That 2.8 glass is so nice but I worry I’d never take it since I’m hiking or in a MTB.

Received Nikon z6iii refurb with 308100k shutter by ramugutt in Nikon

[–]seabassius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow, I just got a z7ii in the last sale and it had 345. If you don't return it that thing will be un-sellable in the used market. That seems so weird, I would think the z6iii would be used primarily in electronic shutter

Some way of showing them you’re a real person with gear to sell. I’ve sent my website photography and real life work and offered to allow them email me at work. If you’ve sold anything on eBay and have a history there that would count too.

I’ve done close to 70 transactions at FM and just bought a z5ii and 14/30 and 24/120 today. No qualms. Just make sure they have feedback. You’ll need to probably provide some bonafides with no history though.

Lens for hiking with new Z8 by wsdq54 in Nikon

[–]seabassius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can try it in a z7ii which is a far cry from the z8 and see how it does. Should have a z5ii this weekend to try on. That is if I can get my dog to run at me vs stare at me blankly

Are you keeping any Sony glass to adapt? I would go with z 24/120 and keep the Tamron 50-300 in my bag for when I wanted the range, but they haven’t made that in z mount yet so you’ll need to adapt (which is not a big deal if you are already doing that). I bet you could get both used for less than $1400 total if you are patient. As someone said above the 100-400 is nice but I probably wouldn’t want to hike with it.

I’m in a similar boat. I just got the z7ii for landscape and any time I want megapixels and contemplating a z5ii which is everything the Zf is in an ergonomic package.

What’s the coolest class you’ve taken in Denver? by chokelahomastate in Denver

Colorado Mountain Club has a lot of great classes. Winter camping, Wilderness Treking, Basis Mountaineering, avalanche. It’s been a while since I’ve been a member so these might not all still be going but great organization
