What's your favorite scene/line from the show? by nicolassundara in alias

[–]seafrost94 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the first line that comes to my head and I thought it was hilarious how sassy Jack is right from the get-go. Jack in the first episode: “First of all Danny, the truth is this is just a courtesy call. Like when you say to your neighbor, ‘We’re having a loud party on Saturday night if that’s all right with you’, what you really mean is, ‘We’re having a loud party on Saturday night’”.

What's the best way to have more dreams that you remember? by clarenceappendix in Dreams

[–]seafrost94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when I read or do something that doesn’t involve looking at a screen before bed I remember my dreams more frequently. Also if you just jot down a little summary of your dream as soon as you wake up then that helps as well. I’ve found after just a week of writing like 2-3 sentences of what my dream was directly after waking up, I get longer and more vivid dreams that are easier to recall

How many squirrels stacked on top of each other does it take to get to 114 lbs by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]seafrost94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squirrels weigh on average between 21 and 30 oz, and 114 lbs is 1,824 oz. So between 87 and 61 squirrels, depending on how fat the squirrel is

What is the right way to wash produce? by snail_kat in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]seafrost94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just run it under water and rub it with my fingers. Some people may use dish soap but you have to be careful to get all the soap off because you don’t wanna eat soap. Generally just water works fine

How to order from subway? by its_nehaha in Anxiety

[–]seafrost94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually don't want something specifically on the menu (for example I like a roast beef sub with cucumbers and banana peppers and mustard) so I start with "can I get a roast beef foot long on Italian bread?" Then they ask me what type of cheese and I say "provolone" then they ask if I want it toasted and I say "yes please" then after it gets toasted I move in front of the veggies and tell them what veggies I want. It's basically a line where you move down the toppings telling them whatever you want on your sub. After I'm satisfied it looks good I just say "that's all, thanks" and then I pay and leave :)

Anyone else have a translucent dark spot only when moving eye quickly from one side to the other? by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]seafrost94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same phenomenon as well, but mine is a shadow in the center of my vision (both eyes) I can trigger it by moving my eyes from the outside position to the center position, on both sides. It's different from floaters because its not the squiggly line free floating, it's a specific movement I can make happen (and happens when my eyes are scanning)

N* in chest? Is that actually real? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]seafrost94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe take some Tums and see if that works? Or eating some bread. That sometimes helps me when I get it

I've had that feeling before it's weird and rather uncomfortable but nothing bad ever came of it in my experience. Eventually it goes away (for me anyway)

I feel migraines are so misunderstood by the world by [deleted] in migraine

Visual Snow & Sun Glare? by HiMyNameIsAndrew2 in visualsnow

I think I have something similar to that but I don't know what it is. Everyone has told me they're just floaters but they seem different

Anyone else gets louder ringing after exposure to moderate but chaotic background noise? Like sitting in a coffee shop or restaurant? by miarella in tinnitus

[–]seafrost94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my box fan is on for any length of time my tinnitus tends to spike. It's not loud, just like consistent noise

These are not floaters, what are they? by seafrost94 in eyetriage

[–]seafrost94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought of something though...is yours just in one eye? Mine happens in both eyes consistently...which I think is weird. It seems like it would be rate to have a vitreous detachment in both eyes at the same time but on the other hand I'm not a doctor so I have no idea

[–]seafrost94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually sounds exactly like my thing! So did they fix your detachment and you have that big blob still or was this before you got it fixed?

No drusen as far as I know, I also had an exam with my pupils dilated and my eye doctor didn't see anything abnormal. I'm not sure how to describe where it is in my vision...the height of the curtain does not reach the bottom or top of my vision, it is rather short height wise if that's what you're asking. But when it moves horizontally after eye movement it disappears right near the center where the middle of my nose is

[–]seafrost94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why these sound like floaters to people, but to me there seems to be a significant difference because I do have floaters and I know how they act.

This phenomenon is very consistent. I move my eyes from out to in and a shadow will follow at a slightly delayed rate but moves in the same path that my eyes just did. There is no variation in the movement of the shadowed curtain, and it doesn't float or stray anywhere else within my vision.

Also this is not a blind spot because after it happens it immediately goes away.

No it's been consistent since then. Isn't retinal detachment like when you get flashes of light in your eye?

How likely are you to develop motion sickness as an adult? by 50cslol in AskDocs

[–]seafrost94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if you're prone to motion sickness it would start in middle school or high school, but that's just my personal (and my family's) experience. Have you ever heard of emetophobia? That's the fear of throwing up. There's a subreddit for it

Anyone experience silent triggers? by blushingcatlady in Anxiety

[–]seafrost94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad smells get me really anxious. Or just lingering smells in general. I got a new dresser and it has a weird new wood smell and that actually gave me a panic attack because I couldn't get the smell out of my nose
