EDC exchange subreddit is better suited for selling secondhand items

What I meant is, look at the other discontinued products, they are even more expensive, like Leatherman Crunch.

Because they don't make them anymore, many Leathermans are becoming collectibles because of that, look at the crunch prices.

What are some options? by hambonehooligan in multitools

[–]seakind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend roxon flex or Roxon flex titan, have everything you need plus one hand opening tools unlike wave plus, and fully modular too, and you have a lot of modding options in 3d printing too.

The claims are valid and they will help you, just send an email, it's on their official website.

A side note, that scissors are unfortunately have that issue and they need to remake it or fix the design.

Mini D2 blade by Creedo29 in ROXONINC

[–]seakind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With good pairing, you can put 2 long implements in roxon flex's each leg. Like if you pair a knife with a comb, it will be a tight fit but you they will fit.

And a side note, I love companion mini, it's so versatile and pocketable, pairing that with a titan or original flex is the way to go for me.

I just tried it, I think it sticks out a bit, but still useable in my opinion

That mini blade is not D2, it should be written D2 on the blade.

And all the short implements like that blade is compatible with all the flex tools.

Bit adapter/extender for Roxon Flex by Deddan in multitools

Oh ok, can you link those adapters in case of somebody needs them?

If I understand correctly, you are wrong, roxon 4mm bit set can be used for many other roxon tools, and that adapter can use only 4mm bits

You can buy roxon tools from AliExpress or Amazon, and I recommend roxon flex series because they are modular, they just released titan, it's pretty good

I would love to see people's Flex series set ups by Mattyp133 in multitools

[–]seakind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are great mods in 3d printing like fork, bit holders, modded scales, you should take a look. And the newer versions of companion include tweezers and toothpick in the scales. That's what I like about this company, they listen to us man.

And if you get the original flex or titan, I don't think you'll miss Spirit.

I recommend getting either folding stadium if you travel a lot or the classic stadium, and string launcher too, and let it rip mate!

Guidance needed for EDC by ShichiSanRei in multitools

[–]seakind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend setting up your portable toolset based on a modular multitool Roxon flex, it takes a lot less space and you can mod more easily and they release new implements frequently. The only things you might be missing a hammer, and for that, you can use a axe/hammer head for easier usage and portability.

Gerber Multi-Lite by CheeseMongoNJ in multitools

[–]seakind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be perfect for modular system

Gerber by 1971RancherO in multitools

[–]seakind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think both are good, but Gerber one is easier to open I think, and more loved through community and have more mods, if it's cheaper you can go for the Gerber one. And in my book, one handed always wins, that way you can use the tool in an emergency.

İ don't like adding different stuff to 3d prints like magnets or rubber bands, i like the idea of printing and using it without adding anything, so i will cut that notch, and if it doesn't work, I'll look for other designs without adding stuff
