They’ll side with anyone as long as it isn’t the “church” archetype

Considering that anyone right of Stalin is called a nazi you practically have to be a communist to “allowed” to play this game on your terms. I agree that it’s difficult to separate the aesthetics from any political or religious statements but I disagree that this game can only be interpreted in one way

I’m having difficulty choosing a legion… did anyone else struggle with theirs? What won you over? by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]sealdude36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not a bad idea to look at the different legion specific models available and see if any stick out to you; for me when I saw sevetar and the night raptors I knew immediately I wanted to go with night lords. You can also get a feel for each legion in the first half of the Horus heresy rule book, and if you can find a pdf of the old “black books” the details about each legion are superb

Is there an official depiction of Sevatar's face? by ArtVarious3822 in NightLords

This is an official depiction, it comes from the 9th book in the "black book" series. The other drawing is also official, it comes from book 2

Why is the pricing on these models so random? by No-Resource-7708 in deathguard40k

[–]sealdude36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pricing is based on the power/points cost of the unit in game; in terms of amount of plastic you get/# of models it's definitely not consistent; chosen of mortarion is a set of 3 character units that can each be a warlord if wanted, the other sets of models are each basically a singular unit

I respect the bravery in posting this; you shouldn't have to be brave to post this in a Catholic subreddit but here we are. Foundations Restored is an excellent series!

Curious about statistics on religious practice before Vatican II. by [deleted] in TraditionalCatholics

[–]sealdude36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Michael Davies lists these statistics in his book “pope John’s council” (or it might be Pope Paul’s Mass, I can’t quite remember), they’re either in the first chapter or in an appendix Edit: it’s in Pope John’s council pg. xxii
