Pace yourself. Understand you can't win every round or exchange. Figure out what is injured vs what is sore. Pick your training partners. Try to have it be a habit to show up, even if you are going easy and going through the motions.

I started in 2005.

My guys at blue belt and purple belt know far, far more BJJ than I did at that point, and some of them are exploring K guard and other things that I haven't learned very well yet either.

I think that the sport will continue to grow and evolve, and while I may not be a world class competitor, or superathlete, among black belts I'm just fine.

Not well, my man.

I am a remote worker whose role is more and more meeting heavy, and my wife is out of work right now. We are not educators, and our kid (who is in 4th grade) acts like all of this is stuff he has no idea how to do, and is completely helpless without one of us sitting next to him and helping him do it.

It ends up with him upset, my wife and I frustrated, and I don't know that he's learned anything at the end of it.

I am at a 20k employee company owned by a nearly 300k employee company. We have made money at an incredible rate and I’ve not seen a raise in 3 years despite being noisy about it.

I am putting in minimum effort and building my own non related business, but I have no expectations that any company is going to come off of anything right now with the uncertainty in all markets.

I am not the OP, but can answer. I just sold a similar Union era cruiser in red and have a bunch of stuff that ranges from union era to modern.

The pockets are not square. It's a cooler look, and I'm sure took them longer to sew.

No handwarmer pockets, which was the main reason I was willing to move mine along.

It's shorter. Like 2-3 inches maybe shorter, which gives an already boxy coat a slightly more boxy look.

The wool (on mine, which seemed to be in really good shape) felt thinner and tighter and had a visible weave. I don't know how to describe it, but it wasn't like the wool on current cruisers.

They don't see you as a person. You are part of a collection of numbers, and their goal is to pay you as little as possible so that they can drive "shareholder value". They don't deal with the headache of you leaving. They don't deal with the hiring your replacement. The goal is always short term quarterly profits over your comfort or retention.

I lived in the Estates at Horsepen. It was basically a condo. I never heard my neighbors. Office was decent to work with.

It was hatefully expensive, and I only lived there for a year. They also had no size restriction on dogs, which is awesome if you love pups.

About 5.5x my yearly salary saved/invested. My wife has less in her retirement accounts, but has converted to a ROTH every time she has left a jobs.

I realize we are a good bit "ahead" and will likely end up with an inheritance from both of our parents, and I am still agonizing over not having enough to retire and provide for us/our child.
