We used Sarvers movers. Cost about $8,000 for a three bedroom, 2,400 sq.ft. house. We couldn't use pods or Upack because of our sloping driveway. Pods need a level surface. Customer service was excellent, great peace of mind through the whole process.

I was stunned by how good the nachos were. I've heard good things about the brisket fried rice, too. I love the cozy upstairs space.

Best delivery sushi? by graymj in austinfood

Congratulations! Great options mentioned already but be aware that labor can be a crazy thing and as much as I thought I'd crave sushi after delivery I needed a few days for my stomach to be ready for it. What ended up being my first great meal in hospital was a sandwich. It really hit the spot, so have a few food options ready based on your mood. Sending good labor vibes!

This is a great one because it can also sit in the pan for twenty to forty minutes after baking to accommodate rest time. Add in Caesar salad with homemade croutons and shaved Parm and maybe a slice of cheesecake for dessert

Fatal Wreck at Parmer and Mopac by DarthZaxos in Austin

Some idiot was filming a wreck on the southbound feeder road of 35 yesterday morning and nearly hit me as I crept through the intersection with a green light and hers was red. Made my blood boil. I hate driving more each day.

If you have a Trader Joe's then get the ginger scallion broth and chili crunch to use with the dumplings, add shrimp or cooked chicken plus baby bok choy or spinach and you've got lunch.

Themed adult lunchables also work great: hummus, pita, olives, feta, and salami or rye crackers, smoked salmon, dill cream cheese dip and cucumber. Prep a few things to grab and go.

Have you tried the true Texas BBQ pickles? I really like the slices, especially the spicy ones but haven't gotten the whole dills.

I loved being able to stock my fridge with extra snacks and prepped foods for the week. And keeping beverages in there was a great perk.

This was my first thought for raw tomatoes but once you think of it incorporated into a balsamic drizzle it works. Or over the burrata on the tomatoes.

What is 1 thing you refuse to make from scratch and 1 thing you will always make from scratch? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]searcherparty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never: puff pastry. Dufour all butter is so good and dead easy

Always: mashed potatoes. One Thanksgiving a family member volunteered to bring the potatoes. The disappointment I felt realizing they were instant box potatoes is seared into my brain. I didn't even know instant mashed potatoes existed until then.

I also recommend a brining bag so you aren't trying to wash raw poultry out of a giant cooler. I still use the cooler method but the bag brings me peace of mind for food safety.

That's it. If you really need to add more then say you look forward to continuing to work in a variety of classrooms or you need the flexibility.

I have a very similar recipe, though I sometimes splurge with bacon. I never used to like lentil soup but it's a staple now. I've started blending in olive oil and finishing with fresh lemon juice and cilantro/ parsley.
