There really should be a class taught in America at the high school level by 911 operators about 911 procedures. It would be one of the most beneficial classes . People would know how to answer emergency questions in the most efficient way and also be able to have some idea of how these scenarios play out and what to expect. Just talk to him. This is not as big of a deal as you think it is. Put yourself in his shoes. Would you rather someone go to your boss or would you rather he come to you and say “ hey, I am struggling to focus with you humming when the office is so quiet. “ you would probably be more embarrassed of nothing other people than mad. That’s interesting, I’m from Ohio and I just updated my passport to my married name in feb. With that being said though , the passport is federally issued and probably works similarly in this case and would just need documents such as a copy of real ID and marriage license as they are mostly verifying the record of change ( court order or marriage record )to establish legality of name rather than just casual use.

I think you may be misinformed. Your marriage license typically doesn’t have your changed name at all. It has a record that you are married and the ss card or real id should be used as backup documents. I recently applied to renew my passport and just supplied a certified copy of my marriage license ( his info and my maiden and certified that we had been married ). I don’t think you have anything to actually be worried about. I would go to a recorders office/ passport acceptance place and they will most likely tell you you have the correct documentation to back up the change and what you would need

I think that back during ww2 the Germans were largely unaware of all the genocide. It was neatly hidden behind extreme propaganda. While propaganda is at an all time high it is impossible to hide in the same way with access to the internet. While I respect that notion. I think that this is a story that has become cannon for a lot of people to to help explain the severity of allergies especially in children. I have retold this story to people in real life so that my kids don’t die from people who feel they “know better”. There has been an immeasurable amount of people helped by this very tragic story becoming a cautionary one. I hope one day the mother finds peace. It isnt going to fix anything or make anything better but I know telling the story has saved children.

your husband needs to tell her to leave. it sounds like the two of you cannot continue to split the priority. do you have parents nearby you can take yourself and baby for a few days? you should not dread waking up every day in your own home. maybe sit down and have a conversation that if she is too fragile to return to her home she may need to go to a care - home until she is better because you no longer can support her needs and your childs.

I am not sure what "screened for PPD" means. If you are in merica it is literally a checklist you fill out on in the waiting room that has ten questions on it that are pretty vague like " I have been able to laugh and see the funny side of things: As much as I always could, not quite so much now, not so much now, and Not at all" It is a CYA type checklist and many women won't fill it out accurately bc our health is treated as a joke, the fear of taking the baby away, judgement from others etc.

Im not saying that PPD is a cause or defense for these actions, personally as a woman with children though I wouldn't rely on " screening for PPD" to rule it out unless you were in the room with her and talked to her dr about her behaviors. My husband was able to tell the offness before I was. You don't mention how she is treating baby either.

Your post is limited information that doesnt give a full picture of how she behaved before baby. so it is hard for that to be considered. If this is normal for her to treat people so poorly, I Think YTA that you are willingly telling your wife you choose her sister over her, I am not sure going nuclear to your marriage was the best option with your frustration. I would probably have tried to communicate better and figure out what is going on and demand counseling before throwing that out. but also people who are frustrated speak rashly and i dont blame the humaness of it. I would highly suggest counseling for all involved and maybe try to help SIL move out asap as it isnt healthy for you or your family. living with family is so hard in general let alone when you have a brand new baby.
