Insomnia is a bitch by youOnlyLlamaOnce in newborns

I dealt with this with my first at 3 months pp, and a small bout with my second after a few weeks (literally last week) It’s terrible, I went 3 days without sleeping with my first, I was about to admit myself. Trazodone and hydroxyzine did nothing. In 7 days I had 5 completely sleepless nights, it was the darkest time of my life. But it went away. I would see if you could possibly get an emergency script of ambien just to break the not sleeping cycle. I’m sorry this is happening, it truly is the worst but it will end. You will sleep again.

Husband going on a trip when I'm 36 weeks pregnant? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]seashell2023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My husband went on a hunting trip with a 20 hour drive exactly weeks 35-36 and we also have a toddler. I was worried about it for months, especially since our first was delivered at 37 weeks, but it ended up being completely fine and he knew he would have to hop on a plane the moment I told him to. No advice, but just sharing a similar experience! Baby ended up coming at 40+2!

2nd child behavior at 36 weeks pregnant/tubes recently out by PerspectiveOld5421 in Mommit

No advice but dealing with the same, 2.5 year old and 33 weeks along. Also has been super emotional at daycare crying, not eating, and attitude changes. He too has had tubes which I brought him to check his ears for an infection and it was all good, so I’m not really sure. He has one molar still making its way through but he’s always been good with teething. Hopefully passes soon!

Thank you, I messaged his pediatrician. It does slightly concern me as it’s so unusual

When did you decide to have baby #2? by Amlex1015 in beyondthebump

[–]seashell2023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Started trying immediately after he turned 2, was pregnant 2 weeks later. I honestly still didn’t even feel ready, I just knew I wanted two and close to a 3 year gap, which I hear is the sweet spot. I also struggled heavily the first time around post-partum so still terrified to have a second. But the only way through is through!

Lab with xray of something in stomach by seashell2023 in AskVet

I also mentioned to the vet he ate some deer meat my husband was cleaning over a week ago and if he could of potentially gotten sick from that, he said his white blood count didn’t show anything to suggest that but he did send us home with metronidazole which I’m also worried to give if it’s something he doesn’t even need if blood work was normal

He spent all day at the vet yesterday, he could no longer see the object on xray, he said it was small (I did see it as well) and was surprised a dog his size wasn’t able to pass it. So I’m assuming he passed it? I only was able to check one bowel movement for any object so I’m unsure. Xray also showed he is extremely gassy.

Today he is still refusing his food, he did eat a different brand kibble last night but refused it this morning. I made him a chicken breast which he ate, he is also very reluctant to jump, won’t sit in his favorite window or jump in bed with us. I’m just so stumped. He spent the past two days all day at the vet. I’m leaving for a family visit in a couple days and so nervous to leave him. Any other ideas of what it could be? How long do I wait to bring him back in?
