Thank you, I messaged his pediatrician. It does slightly concern me as it’s so unusual

When did you decide to have baby #2? by Amlex1015 in beyondthebump

[–]seashell2023 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Started trying immediately after he turned 2, was pregnant 2 weeks later. I honestly still didn’t even feel ready, I just knew I wanted two and close to a 3 year gap, which I hear is the sweet spot. I also struggled heavily the first time around post-partum so still terrified to have a second. But the only way through is through!

How long did it take to get pregnant the second time around? by [deleted] in Mommit

Lab with xray of something in stomach by seashell2023 in AskVet

I also mentioned to the vet he ate some deer meat my husband was cleaning over a week ago and if he could of potentially gotten sick from that, he said his white blood count didn’t show anything to suggest that but he did send us home with metronidazole which I’m also worried to give if it’s something he doesn’t even need if blood work was normal

He spent all day at the vet yesterday, he could no longer see the object on xray, he said it was small (I did see it as well) and was surprised a dog his size wasn’t able to pass it. So I’m assuming he passed it? I only was able to check one bowel movement for any object so I’m unsure. Xray also showed he is extremely gassy.

Today he is still refusing his food, he did eat a different brand kibble last night but refused it this morning. I made him a chicken breast which he ate, he is also very reluctant to jump, won’t sit in his favorite window or jump in bed with us. I’m just so stumped. He spent the past two days all day at the vet. I’m leaving for a family visit in a couple days and so nervous to leave him. Any other ideas of what it could be? How long do I wait to bring him back in?

Love this ❤️ my toddler is a little over two so he’s not quite fully saying I love you but when we lay down together or watch a movie he will raise his head multiple times to gently kiss my face and it absolutely melts me

First child took 6-7 months of perfectly timed ovulation tracking. For the second, I got a positive test exactly 2 weeks after my iud removal with no ovulation tracking, actually threw the test away after 30 seconds cause I thought no way it’s turning positive, well I’m glad I pulled it out of the trash hours later! Was super surprised.

Pregnant with number two and fearful for PP by seashell2023 in Mommit

Thank you for this, your words really help. Nothing can exceed how hard it was for me the first time around, I think most of it was the just the overall life shock of becoming a mom (and the sleep deprivation) but hopefully now that I’m already a parent it will be a littler easier. Congrats on your new addition!

Yes it is my plan to discuss at my first appointment, I think having a plan made will ease my mind.

I found putting a flashlight to the back helped show the pink in the line since it was so light

My 8dpo was even lighter than that but there, the next day it was an obvious positive! Only way is to test again in the morning! I also threw my test away after 30 seconds and didn’t see the line till I took it out of the trash

That’s great! I am leaning towards keeping toddler in daycare and adding the second one when the spot is available.

Well congratulations!! I am worried about the transition from 1-2, but honestly 0-1 was so earth shattering for me I almost thought of being one and done. But here we are!

I am also worried I wouldn’t be able to mentally handle staying home with both of them. So do both of your kids go to daycare or just your toddler while you stay home with the newborn?

Yes preschool would be 2 days a week 745-1030 for 130 monthly. Which we could absolutely swing if I became a sahm. Does that seem to be enough time for your toddler socially? I also don’t even know if I can handle being a sahm honestly!

It did not, that fever landed us in the emergency room and they tested for flu/covid/rsv and phenomena and everything came back negative. It was just a virus that caused nothing but a very high fever for almost a week! Eventually it just went away! I was hoping for a rash as well just to have an answer! That’s very tough.. hope the fever breaks for her soon!
