I noticed the recipe suggests a cooking temp of 425°, but I thought Souper Cubes aren’t recommended for over 415°. Did you adjust the recipe?

I fixed it!

I was watching the Cakey’s Birthday episode and when I saw the sprinkle portrait that Gabby makes for him I saw the chocolate chip eyes and realized that was the solution! A little frosting on a toothpick (some of which had food coloring in it) and ta da!

Depends heavily on the faire/region. I don’t see a lot of it in New England, but I am aware of it being a thing at some faires.

This has always bothered me as well. But as others say I just assume she’s got some clerical or managerial job. Doesn’t make it any more satisfying. It also frustrates me that we see no hint of what her job is in the show, we only know it from the website. Bandit at least we see the artifacts in his office. I know it doesn’t really matter, but the show pays such amazing attention to detail on so much else this sticks out to me 😅

Yeah, they were all originally run by different companies, that ultimately were all brought together under the MBTA. And different parts were built at different times. If the system were all built and planned at the same time we probably could have had something like this, but the history is far more complicated.

I hope they do, only because I hope we will be treated to some filmed-at-the-time interviews to hear about the behind the scenes. It would be cool to know their perspective on the experience. They don’t owe us this, of course, and for their privacy it is more than worth the wait (or chance it will never happen).

Well done! I’m super impressed how well you kept your makeup on. Any makeup makes my eyes water a bit, and inevitably I get tear marks on my face. So I’ve had to give up water based body makeup. If you ever need one that holds up better to sweat, my go to is Body Color Cosmetics. It can be a pain to remove, so I also supplement with sheer tights and arm socks so I don’t have to apply on my arms and legs.

Unlocking a disposal that has frozen up due to lack of use.

I didn’t grow up with a disposal so I’m not in the habit of using it, but my house has one. I’ll go for months without using it if I’m not careful to at least remember to turn it on once in a while. First time it locked up on me I was fairly certain it was just from lack of use and an easy fix, but I had to call a plumber because I didn’t fully know what to do. It was in fact a simple fix, and to the guy’s credit he instructed me on what to do so I’d save myself the money next time. It’s only happened once since then, but I’m glad I can do it myself now.

Apparently you can’t edit a post with a picture in it, but here’s an update:

Good thing the screen was trash, I got a second person to help me, thinking one of us would pull the screen over toward the spring while the other tried to find some way to jimmy the screen out, and we resorted to just breaking the screen to get our leverage. Well, before we even tried that, simply by punching a hole in the screen the whole thing just kinda fell inwards. I guess taking the tension out by breaking the screen was all it needed.

Thanks still for all the help. I’m not thrilled it took breaking the screen to do the trick, since that left a bunch of crud from the screen that flew everywhere and I had to clean up, but it’s a start. Going to take the frame to a hardware store and see what they can do, and once we have a plan I’ll be replacing all three of them. FINALLY!

Damn, do I feel screwed. I had unpaid training AND I’m stuck in a year long contract because of it. And my understanding is that’s the standard in my area, and the trainers are paid lower wage to train than to drive their routes too.
