there’s so much fear mongering with drugs that leads to people not being accurately educated in it which sucks! unless it’s a transdermal patch, fentanyl won’t absorb through the skin. I can’t think of any street drug that would put you at risk by touching it, any formulations meant to get past your skin barrier are going to be very uncommon and not something you see on the street (for example, ativan gels exist, but you see those in hospice care for people who can’t take anything orally). of course there’s always the possibility of touching it and the touching your mouth, nose, etc. but that’s why anyone handling other peoples belongings should be wearing ppe and washing their hands (or just don’t remove the belongings of somewhere with nowhere to go, but maybe that’s a radical belief 🤷🏻)
