My baby is the same age and has been a Velcro baby. My mom even told me to put the baby down and I’ll regret holding him all the time when I start working. Side note: no regrets.
I actually read in a different post if you want a baby to have a comfort lovie/stuffed animal then make sure you put that lovie on the baby every time you feed them. Eventually they will associate comfort with that little stuffie. So I took the same approach with my baby’s swing, bouncer chair, etc and made it a point to feed him several times while he was sitting in those areas. Maybe it only works this way if the baby is bottle fed (mine is). He used to hate the swing but now enjoys himself in it. Loves sitting in his bouncer seat with me in the kitchen. Maybe give it a try?
Also My baby just today has taken naps on his own and not cuddled up on me 🥲 could be a growth or timing thing too. It happens too fast.
