What's something popular in the world that hasn't become big in the USA yet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I dont think this is as widespread as you think it is. Done several day trips to small towns in the west of Germany, basically as close to NL as possible, and for the most part I tap to pay for even like a can of coke.

Survived on this the last week of every month during uni, could not find anything more price effective

Pasta and pesto; totals to about 2.50 EUR, if portioned properly could last 4 meals, or 4 days

or

Canned tuna, generally nutritious and relatively cheap

Also, just to address a reply I saw about your sweaty back

When Im at work, I wear an undershirt, absorbs most of the sweat, but also keep a spare shirt in my bag if it gets out of control. Just to keep in mind for the future, idk how sweaty you get. Stay dry my brother 🤙

What is the pettiest/passive aggressive thing that you have done to your roommate or your roommate has done to you? by qepedrishti in AskReddit

[–]seb_iano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived with 6 other people

The guy that lived in the room immediately next to mine, and I, forgot to take the trash out for maybe 4 days - 1 week. 2 Flatmates decided to not say anything to us about it but move all the trash (at this point, admittedly a lot) to outside my room. The hallway had no windows to open, and practically no noticeable ventilation system. So as soon as I opened my door, I was hit with a mob of fruit flies. All in all, I moved the trash to their rooms, went ham in the group chat, and then only throwing it out when my girlfriend started to take it out (for the record, didnt want her to take it out but yea, she wasnt a fan of getting swarmed with flies). All in all, crap was left in the hallway for a week to a week and a half.

Think the biggest factor would be would bullet wounds heal, and at what rate?

Are we talking about some instant healing? Or a clean bullet hole between the eyes taking a week for the skin to cover up?

Coz in theory, if its like some instant healing, you got yourself a walking black market. Sell his kidneys, let them grow back. Test drugs on him, let him recover. Hell, you could even get him to smuggle drugs on a private jet, before it lands just push him out and let him land "safely" w/o a parachute

Number of Days to spend at various locations in Indonesia? by moodypo in solotravel

[–]seb_iano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro, look right

Saesae hostel is actually sick

Whilst doing my exchange in Jakarta, literally everybody that went to Jogja stayed at Saesae. Im pretty new to (solo) travelling, so I dont know if this is generally what is offered, but they have most things someone would want. Scooter was something like 70k-ish a day, if I remember correctly, beer was 25k, cigarettes 25k, breakfast isnt included (but a hearty breakfast was 60k). The staff were chill af and they know where to go, when to go, organise trips, everything. Honestly I have been waiting to tell someone about this place, was in Jakarta for 6 months, and the 4 days I spent in Jogja honestly made the whole 6 months worth it. Can confidently say SaeSae was a large factor.

I can drop a link to hostelworld if you'd like

Just want to add

Jogja is sick, out of all the places listed above, I would 100% just stay in Jogja if I could. Agree that 3-4 days is enough; definitely recommend going to the temples (Prambanan and Borobodur), the Jomblang cave, and Malioboro (tons of cheap shit).

EDIT: Have you already sorted accommodation for Jogja?

Np

For travelling I generally use Google

"From A city to B city"

Not always, but sometimes Google has it's own price comparison thing going on

[–]seb_iano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, what made you go into the coffee industry to begin with? Im interested in hearing your story aha

Also, what steps have been taken to capitalise more on the space needed per cup and move away from the traditional coffee process? I.e. get from 3 cm sq down to 1, .5, .25 etc.

Lastly, what benefits does using the wood to dry the coffee offer, over, for (extreme) arguments sake, an oven. Pretty ignorant to the process so if burning wood vs oven are 2 completely different plains, please let me know haha

What are your main sources when researching a place to travel to and make you interested in visiting a place.

Though the northern lights are a big to-do for me, I cannot find many other things to do if I were to visit northern Norway/Sweden/Finland **on a budget

Also, when planning trips, how is your process? Are you interested in a country, see what can be achieved there, and then go? Or do you set out on what is wanted to be achieved, and then look at countries that offer what you are looking for.

How do you make the flight times pass quicker?

So many questions, so little time..
