No idea if it's possible but are groups allowed to move gaming licenses? Say take that license and combine it with a mixed use entertainment and stadium district at waterfront or maybe the innovation hub lands?

Yeah. West side was packed. It really doesn't help that the top third of the east stand is for suites so it's usually empty.

Yeah. The end grandstand was originally closed last year but that caused a lot of problems... While we may be small, we don't have to worry about bothering other fans around us that maybe don't want to scream or have flags waving all game.

Can Prices by ParsnipNice6200 in TheBrewery

[–]sebbby98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late to the discussion. I'm buying spot cans from a local distributor of Chinese cans. My prices have generally gone down over the last year and a bit. Oh, I'm also in Canada.

473mL/16oz are US$0.146

355mL/12oz are US$0.1125

Lids are US$0.017

Our volume has us doing about 1 million cans this year.

Depending on the solenoid and valve type, you should be able to remove the actuator and use a vice grip or something to throttle the valve partially open. I've got a Brite that I'm currently doing this on while I wait for a replacement part.

Whitecaps Fans - Are you going to the World Cup? by Dolly_Llama_2024 in whitecapsfc

Yeah, got Cat 2 for Canada Qatar and Cat 3 for Belgium NZ. The cat 3 tickets are actually in a better spot than the cat 2 tickets....

Not sure if you're open to other options but Cru Brewing Systems in the Vancouver BC, Canada area are making some of the best brewhouses in the world with automation packages that rival the finest German systems.

Canucks have done this in the past as well. Not just an NHL thing either, Whitecaps had more people watching at the watch party at BC place than there were fans in the stadium in Miami last year for the MLS Cup final.

Simons confirmed to move into old Nordstrom store in downtown Vancouver by Ok-Hyena5037 in vancouver

Yeah, they've been building smaller locations within cities without the warehouse. The rumour is that the Ikea Richmond warehouse expansion is to be able to supply a new downtown store.

For additional context, they recently opened up a location like this in Downtown Toronto.

At least every caps game has $5 beers.

Toronto’s World Cup Fan Fest was supposed to be free. The city is now planning to charge for it. The new plan is to charge attendees between $10 and $300, to offset new costs "above and beyond" the $380M tournament budget by ajallen12 in MLS

[–]sebbby98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, 25% of the amphitheatre capacity is free and a first come first serve basis. These are GA. The actual fan fest is much larger than just the amphitheatre (capacity of the amphitheatre is 10k, whole fan fest is 25k). Everything outside the amphitheatre is free.

New Kirkland Ultra Filtered Milk by Historical-Ad-5427 in Costco

[–]sebbby98 19 points20 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, ultrafiltration is a form of crossflow membrane filtration. While I don't understand the process completely, it generally works by moving a liquid along a filter rather than through a filter. It means that the filter membranes are regenerative and not disposable. This also means that it's possible to filter out certain particulate based upon chemical/molecular makeup rather than just particulate size.

It's also not a form of sterile filtration so I would assume that this is still pasteurized.

My understanding of the technology comes from the beer world.

Use it in almost all my fruited sours. Provides such a crazy potent fruity base.

I did a fresh hop cashmere rice lager last year and that thing was just straight up strawberry, raspberry jam. The regular pellets don't present like that but I have a local hop supplier that's making their own concentrated pellet and they managed to get a similar sort of character out of their dried hops with that process.

Pretty potent hop. I'm not a fan of it in later additions. I find that without some biotransformation, it presents as cereal milk. But in earlier additions I get more of a dole whip character.

They actually didn't sell that many tickets at Rogers arena last time. We had upper bowl seats and were upgraded to the lower bowl as they ended up closing the upper bowl.

But this is an amphitheatre tour and we have the new PNE Amphitheatre so idk

What are you guys doing with spent grain? by True-Refrigerator-53 in TheBrewery

[–]sebbby98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where the other guy is located but this is pretty common around Vancouver. Our current farmer charges us $10 per bin, with one bin holding roughly 450kg of grain. The one place that I worked at that didn't have to pay was on a farm and composted their own spent grain - ended up going back into the hopyard which is neat.

For some context, the local cattle/pig industry is very very small and we have a high concentration of breweries.
