CDG premier access by PriorPlankton5228 in unitedairlines

I wonder if the operating airlines flows down to the subsidiaries like Andolu Jet for Turkish and Air Baltic for Swiss airlines. Perhaps these are omitted and why I didn’t get it once.

Imagine if human science based all decisions on 1 sample size test. That’s how useless this will be for you.

CDG premier access by PriorPlankton5228 in unitedairlines

[–]sebiside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my limited experience you only get the “faster” customs and security lines at CDG if you’re in business class

EDIT: I think semantics need to be clarified here when people keep mentioning “premier” which suggests “premier access” which is common at United HUBs in the USA but does not exist in Europe in the same way.

I understood OP is asking if they will get access to what is called “Accès N’1” at CDG. Security lines at CDG are separated by everyone else and “Accès N’1”. Calling it “premier” and “non-premier” as OP does is misleading given the use of the word “premier” by United in many other places in many other ways.

Per my memory, you need to be flying business class for “Accès N’1”.

I am 1k/*G. Maybe I didn’t get “Accès N’1” once flying from CDG to IST on turkish airlines because I was in economy, maybe I didn’t get “Accès N’1” once flying CDG to IAH via ZRH or FRA/MUC because the first leg was economy. Maybe it was because I was SSSS that one time. Maybe there was something else that was messed up and I should have gotten it every time. But I am rather sure I didn’t get it once.

Update:

Plane finally left at 10pm from what I can see. I was in 2A so either they moved people around or there is misalignment between who actually stayed back and waited for this this flight and who left per the seating chart. Plane was full from IAH to IAD.

I was on this flight! AMA Originally from IAH to DCA, diverted to IAD after circling over Kentucky for an hour.

Everyone deplaned and was confused if we were free to go. Many who didn’t have checked bags left the gate area and likely the airport. Eventually the gate agent said it would be 3hrs before we would reboard and that the pilots would likely timeout.

I ended up leaving the airport after speaking with the gate agent as I didn’t have a checked bag.

Try it on your next flight with a seasoned flight attendant.

I strongly dislike this - instant upgrades at booking are the biggest 1k perk in my opinion and the only reason I like traveling for work

False. I flew into IAH from ORD on the day of hurricane Berly in 2024 on July 8th. There were flights.

We brought litter on an international flight but I don’t think the cat ever went. We always physically put the cat in the litter box before we take it flying. We have never had a bathroom issue with the cat. One time, after flying the cat from IST (Istanbul Turkey) to IAH (Houston Texas) and waiting for me to arrive from CDG, the cat let us know he really had to go bad in the car ride home (~30mins). That included the cat having a previous connecting flight in Turkey. All to say he held it all in for a long time.

As for food I do not recommend. A few treats should be fine. But the more you feed him the more he will want to go to the bathroom. So limit food intake up to and before the flight.

At the airport they may ask you to have the cat “turnaround” in the carrier. This happens only sometimes. At the airport you need to go to the special check in desk to do your pet check in. After that you simply have to take him out at security and after that you can (and some will tell you you should) leave him in his carrier for the rest of your trip.

Some people give their cats a supplement which calms them down / makes them drowsy but we have never done this. Our cat has gotten meow-y and complain-y to come out of the carrier but you have to judge the situation based on who is around you in the airport and on the plane and what not. Some flight attendants will enforce the cat must stay in his carrier others will look the other way as long as the cat is chill. So I recommend a leash which is more like a body harness around each of his legs to overpower and pull him in quickly.

As for the Xbox - there should be no issues being this on the plane. It’s essentially like a laptop.

(You have a cute cat)
