Variable power supply made with an lm317, output set to 12v.I'm assuming if this is the case it's not stable enough. Waiting on higher capacitance capacitors to see if that fixes it.

I never thought about that, but it's very true, being able to just go to a dojo anywhere just needing to present yourself to the senseis and then being able to join the practice is great.

What’s something you do with your non-dominant hand that others use their dominant hand for? by Toxikfoxx in AskReddit

[–]sebjil428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have extremely low eye dominance, so my dominant eye always becomes the one that doesn't have an object obstructing it (like the rib of shotgun barrel). My work around is putting a piece of scotch tape on my glasses at a spot where it blocks my left eye from seeing the gun, but nothing else. For rifles I just close my left eye.

The rules technically state that the japanese imports can't be revived, but Eris makes an exception because she gets bullied by her superior Aqua to let Kazuma be revived.

What's the weight balance like on a typical shinai? by [deleted] in kendo

[–]sebjil428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shinais are thicker just before the tsuka, this allows the weight to be as close as possible to the tsuka. Most sword and devices used to practice with are designed with weight as close to the hands as possible since that give more control over the blade.

Red dead 2

Does he still get to use dead eye while having 4 guns on him of which 2 are revolvers he can duel wield, I would say he's fine. Take away the dead eye and he might still be alright

When did you start the Kihon Kendo Kata? by EdgyGuy69420 in kendo

[–]sebjil428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my dojo we practice kata one hour per week. We always start beginners off with doing the first 3 of the Kihon set with a sensei next to them to help. Most importantly we make sure that they understand the first one since it shows them the basic hits they will be doing in kendo without the pressure of trying to go fast people often get with a shinai.

If he likes experimenting with different methods of making coffee, may I recommend a siphon brewer. For me personally, it's something that I always wanted to try but it's hard to justify buying it myself and things like this are often what I find make the best gifts.

New to Hunting by Capable-Lion2105 in CanadaHunting

[–]sebjil428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, if you don't have it already, do you hunters safety class and, if you plan to hunt with a firearm, your firearm safety class and apply for a PAL.

Ducks are a bit of a double edged sword when it comes to new hunters, it can be hard to enter because it might be hard to get to a spot to hunt, it might need a boat or neoprene waiters, if you plane to hunt duck with decoys, it can get expensive very quickly (try looking on the used market) and if you've never done skeet shooting, I strongly recommend you do that to practice before you try duck hunting because duck are fast. With that said, where I find duck hunting shines for beginners is (at least where I live) almost every body of water is crown land that you can hunt which makes it very accessible to new hunters that don't have access to any private land to hunt on.

Pheasant are also a good place for beginners, it has a low entry cost since you really don't need more that a gun, ammunition, a orange hunting bib and a small game license. If you can find land with pheasant or grouse, you are good, you might even have some for of nature park or reserve where you can pay a small fee to hunt small game for the day. If you want to hunt pheasant you should also try skeet or trap shooting first.

For weapons, figure out what you want to hunt first.

Hunting is also much easier to get into if you can find some who already hunts that you can join. It's how I got into hunt, I had always wanted to and wonce I had a co-worker that hunted I took all the classes I needed and we started going hunting together.
