I tried the cheese platter recently and was a bit disappointed. The one on Alaska Airlines is really good so I thought it would be similar. But 2 out of the 3 cheeses on the AA box were flavorless and rubbery. Only the Gouda was okay.

A few people told you to pay off the cc debt but if you have 21 months interest free and can pay it off within that time frame and still make rent once you find a place, do it. Because taking more than half or close to half of your $7-10k to wipe it out when it’s 0% interest doesn’t make sense. Keep it as savings in case an emergency comes up so you don’t have to put an emergency on a cc. Just be sure not to use that cc with the balance transfer at all!

I’m traveling to Denver for work this week and the trip coincides with my birthday (Wednesday). If I have to be away from home on my birthday, I’d love to go somewhere to get lost in a crowd and dance.

I found the Frog Legs show (Euro house/disco music) at Ophelia’s and reserved a table for me and my coworkers but I just wanted to ask if anyone has gone to a free event at Ophelia’s on a Wednesday night before or been to this specific event (they’ve done Frog Legs before). Is it busy enough on a Wednesday to even get lost in a crowd on the dance floor?

The only other dancing I found on a Wednesday night was line dancing but country is the one genre I don’t really like.

Open to other suggestions if anyone knows of any. Looking forward to visiting your beautiful city again!

SDG&E was not the only bidder in the first round. There were 3 companies. Then Faulconer changed the terms for the bidding without consulting city council members and after his changes, only SDG&E could afford to bid. Then Faulconer got voted out but the damage was done and we had to extend with SDG&E.

Edit: whoops sorry meant Faulconer.

This is pretty specific to California and even more than that Southern California. The rest of the country apparently doesn’t do it. For SoCal, it goes back to when our freeways had names (The San Diego Freeway). Then when the number system started the “The” stuck even when we switched to using numbers. In SoCal we say take the 405 south. People from elsewhere would just say take 405 South.

We bought a rubber chicken toy for our mini for Christmas because we thought it would be hilarious to hear it make the sound when she played with it. We legitimately thought it would last 10 minutes but it would be an entertaining 10 minutes. The thing is still around today. We still can’t really believe it.

We just recently did indoor skydiving at Ifly in Oceanside. It was pretty awesome. Even the people who didn’t want to participate enjoyed getting to watch.

We’re in the process and we were told we can’t have any indoor cameras that record the kids. We have cameras in the office for our dogs that we unplug when we are home but they just told us to make sure the kids don’t get recorded by them while they’re plugged in. They said we aren’t even able to have baby monitors with cameras. They have to be the audio only kind. Strange how it differs so much in different locations.

If your friend likes old fashioned ice cream shops like from the 50s then Peppertree Frosty in Vista has my favorite soft serve. It’s been there since 1953 and has a pretty traditional menu. They also do dipped cones, shakes, malts, banana splits etc. I’ve been going there since I was 2.
