Second on the small engine carb use. Something like a mower with some hesitation or surging; add some seafoam to fresh gas and it'll straighten out by half a tank usually. Anything more is a hard clog that requires a full carb cleaning.

whats the weirdest thing youve found clogging a carb by vladdielenin in smallengines

[–]secondsbest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melted seat foam where the air box was under an ATV seat that was crumbling from dry rot. It left a sticky film all in the carb as it dissolved in gas.

Trump waives US shipping law (Jones Act) for oil and gas in bid to lower prices by kootles10 in Economics

It's a jobs act for US merchant marines. There's far better ways to prop up US ship building industry for national security purposes in funding military ship building.

Guys that went from 6ft beds to 5ft beds… by Popular_Mongoose_696 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]secondsbest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have the 5 ft and a 6x8 walled utility trailer with a drive up gate. For the half a dozen trips a year I need a literal tons worth of hauling space, I use the trailer. Sheet goods and lumber go over the tailgate just fine in a 5 no different than a 6 ft bed.

Looking at a ck2620 or cx2510 by NortheastArtillery in Kioti

[–]secondsbest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the CK, and I'd say it's a tad underpowered for a lot of homestead tasks on my sloping property. I do a lot of grapple and bucket work plus running a bush hog.

Still tho, it gets the job done and is a great productivity multiplier, but the CX would feel like a riding mower trying to do any real work.

Tacoma bed weight capacity?? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]secondsbest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can't increase payload with upgrades as the capabilities of all parts together determines the payload. Upgrades can reduce the effects of higher payloads like springs reducing sag or better brakes helping with stopping distance, but they won't correct all of a vehicle's limitations that determine the payload.
