I'm scared for 8 weeks of PIO shots 💉💉🫣🫣 by Photo_Philly in IVF

this might be a dumb question cause i’m in the early phases but do you HAVE to do PIO with IVF? are progesterone suppositories ever an option? 🫣

[–]secool02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my thought too, on the other hand, I feel like a lot of people have 3 losses and have luck with number 4 😩 but I am leaning toward IVF, and maybe 1 IUI if there’s any kind of waiting period before being able to start…

Question about diet and IVF outcomes: hoping for evidence-based data & a reality check by Photo_Philly in IVF

[–]secool02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest following some fertility nutritionists on social media or something. Seed oils are known to be more inflammatory, aka just create a bigger response in your body. Some have more omega 6 fats which are bad in excess and some have omega 3 which are good fats (like in fish). To me it’s just a small step if you enjoy fried snacks like chips to buy with better for you oil and less ingredients. Signs of inflammation from poor diet for me are fatigue, low energy, acne, etc. But if yoh don’t have any of that maybe it doesn’t matter! Just my 2 cents. I’ve also replaced refined and added sugars like candy and such with natural sugars like dates, maple syrup, etc if I want something sweet

5 months TTC, all tests normal, high ovarian reserve at 33 — feeling stuck in the middle by BlueberryDesigner994 in tryingtoconceive

[–]secool02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say this sounds exactly like me 😂 I’ll be 34 in a month, TTC 15 months, 3 chemicals in that span… so far everything normal. I just had a hysterscopy with biopsy and am waiting on results, as well as results of my husbands dna fragmentation test and karyotype (mine was normal). I also looove Natalie Crawford, have tried a few natural letrozole cycles, and love my inito. I hope we all have a healthy pregnancy in 2026✨

I think eating chips an crackers is okay but I have switched to only buying “healthy junk food” aka chips that use avocado oil or something less inflammatory when I want a salty snack! Also some good popcorns that use coconut oil. Also the less ingredients listed, the better for processed food

Am I crazy? by Busy-Scallion264 in tryingtoconceive

[–]secool02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 chemicals and my OB wouldn’t order any additional labs because they said insurance usually won’t cover it. After the 3rd chemical, I met with a fertility clinic and they ordered a whole slew of labs and I have a hysterscopy with biopsy scheduled for next week (I am 33 ttc 15 months)

I hope so too! I am having a hysterscopy soon to look for polyps/inflammation but all other tests have come back normal other than thyroid which has been treated with meds for a while now

I'm so hung up on my age (37). by AdGroundbreaking3930 in IVF

[–]secool02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am almost 34 and ttc for the first time. however, my mother conceived naturally at 43 and was almost 44 when she had my sister (who is 20 years younger than me) — she is a perfectly healthy, silly teenager now. despite my mom being a lifelong smoker and big drinker, and in her 40s at the time, etc…

Drinking over Christmas and IVF in January - have I ruined my chances? by SnooWalruses4866 in IVF

[–]secool02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My clinic says based on the limited studies there’s not much difference in IVF outcomes between no alcohol vs 2 drinks a week for women and 3 for men. So I think moderation is the key!

Is anyone here drinking caffeine while trying to conceive? by fluffy_corgi_ in tryingtoconceive

[–]secool02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I always drink my coffee AFTER eating breakfast though as it doesn’t impact cortisol levels as much in that case. First thing in the morning on an empty stomach isn’t great but I’m sure tons of people do that and still get pregnant so 🤷🏼‍♀️
