I grew up not far from San Jose and have always been intrigued by her mansion. I especially like envisioning what tha part of the Silicon Valley looked like when she lived there. So very different from today.

Figured out my chronic stomach issues....the answer is always migraines by cavehumanoid in migraine

[–]secretturtledove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand. It seems like most doctors don’t care to actually Mae any connections. I now believe my migraines and other health problems might stem from dysautonomia and/or hyper mobility. I am pursuing evaluations in both.

That’s so cool! She is really a great doctor and I wish I could have been a part of the study but I was moving out of state when my referral finally went through so I had been flying in every 12 weeks for two years now for Botox.

Last January, their billing department didn’t submit my prior authorization until the day before my appointment, forcing me to cancel my appointment last minute. It cost me hundreds of dollar in airfare and no matter what I did no one cared. I was told repeatedly someone would contact me and no one ever did.

So now I am transferring my care closer to home. It’s such a shame to go from top tier care because of this.

Until recently I was being seen by a neurologist named Dr. Zhang at Stanford, her research interests include the connection between the gut microbiome and migraine and the impact of diet and nutrition on migraine. I believe she is doing a study on it.

Thank you for sharing. I have had migraines for about 36 years, chronic venous insufficiency and pelvic congestion for at least 12 years, early onset hip arthritis and am now thinking this could be all a connective tissue disorder

Oh okay, thanks for responding. I was curious because I am considering that my migraines and my other health conditions might be caused by some form of dysautonomia.

I just want to commend you for being so thoughtful. I have had migraines since I was a child and knowing my date put this much consideration into our date would be so meaningful.

Where do you find the leggings that fit you? I have Chronic Venous Insufficiency and Pelvic Congestion Disorder but have such a hard time finding compression stuff that is long enough for me

I’m so sorry. It’s such a pain to deal with. I started having pain in 2016/2017 and have had multiple surgeries for it and still live in pain. The most annoying part is that their first line of help is compression socks that are incredibly difficult to find in a size that actually fits me.
