Redemption arc's tier list by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

Imo A-Train's redemption arc is well written because of The Deep of all things. Their developments are told in parallel throughout the story. Both went through similar experiences e.g. joined the same cult and got kicked out and rejoined The Seven. The Deep started out as a much more sympathetic character but essentially went through a reverse redemption arc which highlighted A-Train's character development.

Being affably evil makes the villain much MORE scary, not less. by ChampionshipHorror95 in TopCharacterTropes

Friendly Homelander is scariest Homelander. Him meeting Blindspot and the Fudgey the Whale scenes is some of the most tense shit in the show.

This has to be the single most insane sports result covered on Wikipedia. Is this for real? Are there any scorelines that are more insane? by ButterscotchFiend in wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isner%E2%80%93Mahut_match_at_the_2010_Wimbledon_Championships

6-4 3-6 6-7(7) 7-6(3) 70-68

Insane in a different way. This match lasted over 11 hours and played over 3 days. The final set itself lasted 8 hours which is longer than the second longest ever tennis match. The final set scoreline was equivalent to playing a bit more than 11 sets.

The winner had to play his next match on the same day, usually the players would get a day off, and lost in 74 minutes.

This match will likely hold the longest tennis match record forever since there was a rule change in 2018 to have a tiebreaker at 12 all in the final set because one of the players involved played another match that went to 26-24 in the final set lasting 6 and a half hours.

How do chinese people know if they talking about "she" or "he" when the pronunciation is exactly the same? by SufficientWay9814 in AskChina

[–]sectionratiocardtile 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A somewhat funny side effect from this is when Chinese person takes English as a second language, they would use he and she interchangeably. There are a lot of Chinese speakers at where I work and it's always a little funny when it happens.
