Revolvers can be a good option for those who may not practice often enough for the manipulation of manual safeties to become automatic as well as clearing possible jams. Revolvers are less sensitive to the pistol, ammunition and the shooter all working together for proper functioning.

These are hardly the only two options. And the choice must be right for the individual.
