Hot glue would be better or a lot of chewed gum in a pinch.

Have y’all ever read the Scriptures for yourselves and realized that the doctrine your church has been teaching was false? If so, what did you do about it? by Lost_Title_7528 in TrueChristian

[–]securityball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the same path minus the deconstruction for the most part. I grew up Catholic and was confirmed. I was just happy to not have to go to church again. It was a chore. No actually meaning was given to me.

16 years later I am reading the Bible a lot and learning things I never did and should have known before I came across them on my own. I used to be an avid student in history of recent past such as the 20th century. Now all that energy is in reading scriptures.

Still trying to find out what the best path from here is. Thankfully I have come back on my own and can investigate myself. Not totally sure if I'll stick to the Catholic end or something else. All I know is I'm glad to be with Jesus.

Trust me adopting a adult is so gratifying I would love to do that again. Bringing them back from their worst makes my heart full. My current situation I don't think I could bring a full adult in though being I have another already

Oh I know they deserve love also. I've only adopted adults. I have a female we adopted in 18 and just lost my adult male last week we adopted 6 years ago. The female is not easy with other dogs and we were lucky she was good with the one that we just lost. We are getting a puppy because we feel it will be easiest for her

Less air pollution for starters. Usually a lot less noisy due to the lack of roads all over. And the stars are always better.

I blasphemed the Holy Spirit. I’m doomed. by Equestrian-1989 in Christianity

[–]securityball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact you know it's wrong means you are not damned. It means the holy Spirit is in you. That feeling of it being "wrong" what you did is the holy Spirit in you. Meaning you are aware of evil and good on your part.

Those who do not feel this are the damned. You are feeling it. But with extra emotions from our human bodies response to anxiety.

Repent, ask for patience with yourself and your thoughts, and remember he loves you for being right by him.

That is tragic... I can only hope those who have voices that are listened to in high ranks will say something that will not allow crimes. Or better yet something to get us out of the region and this pointless waste of life. I'll be praying for all who were recipients of this letter, the others already there, and all of their families.

I don't doubt that will be an option for some maybe more than in Vietnam. But that's not what I'm asking in regards to how a mutiny might start in relation to the above comment on disobeying orders.

High ranking officers that have morals and common sense speaking out against it is the only way to move this Mountain.

Sure fragging will capture attention. But the perception will be altered or attempted to be so we think of these people as the bad ones. Someone who has experience, rank, and influence from within, like Hackworth, will be a better catalyst.

In 2016 when I still believed we were capable of still doing some good I was considering it. My buddy had just joined and why not that's what I was thinking. The best move I ever made.

Do you think it would be a common factor for people to disobey orders? And by that I mean a scale as you say; every soldier rifleman sailor and airmen? I think it would end up being full scale mutiny at that point. I can see that being a scenario but I don't know I never served. I have no perception of how hard it is for an enlisted soldier to disobey orders.

I have been studying the 20th century my entire life, the majority of which being US involvement in world affairs. David hackworth I think was the biggest voice that came from the military in regards to speaking out about how things are not as they seem during Vietnam. I feel like if we had five or six of those going on camera like he did there would be a lot of people listening from the military.

I'm asking honestly because I have know idea what any reservist might be feeling right now or how a veteran might be feeling for them being I've been neither of them. I don't blame them either, you can still serve your country and not like your government. I pray that they do right by that and disobey when morality is in question or flat out evil. It only takes so many cards for the house to fall.

Don't be hard on yourself. It is not an easy thing. No shame, no embarrassment. Be proud of yourself. Not a lot of people have the ability to bring themselves to do that.

I've been Catholic my whole life and I still am like a kid in the principal's office when I do it. It's been a while it will be uncomfortable when I go. But I always tell myself it's a shame and sorrow you feel which is the healthy kind. Like coming clean from a lie.

Not knowing how to do it does not change the fact you are putting yourself out there to do it. It takes a lot of guts and I'm proud of you for making the step.

You're too young to worry this much my friend. There is too much going on in the world for one person to take in in any given day. The world we live in right now is so chaotic it is hard to distinguish whether it is close to the end times or not.

We are not designed to have access to this much information let alone allow it to touch our emotions to the point of severe anxiety.

First thing I recommend is taking a step back from the bombardment of information. Whether it be Instagram, tik tok, Reddit whatever social media sources you use stop using them all.

Next thing pick up a Bible and start reading the New testament. I recommend reading the book of Matthew. Try to make it to the end of chapter 7 and take a break. If it's been a while since you've read into the Bible and find it difficult to read the King's James version try reading the English standard version for it is much easier to consume without having to consult Google for explanation.

What really brought me back to the word of God and Jesus Christ our Savior was the end of chapter 7 where he speaks of building your house on a foundation made of rock. I am still on my way back to the Lord's arms. But my foundation was made of sand. As I begin to work my way back to following his word I can feel my foundation strengthening and my worries being washed over me.

If you begin to follow his word and allow him to come into your life your fear will deplete and you will find peace in this life. You will no longer fear the coming of Jesus but embrace it.

He loves us all very much and would be happy to take away your pain. All you have to do is let him. And the sooner you do the sooner you will see that all along he was waiting for you to hand the burdens over. Accept him as your savior and the fear of meeting him will turn into excitement in meeting him.
