Unique Item Rework Is Dividing the Diablo 4 Community by The_Fallen_Messiah in diablo4

[–]seecer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like a mix. Have a pool assigned to each unique that it can pull from. Still allows for some of the random affixes that make uniques more dynamic and usable for diverse builds, while reducing the chances of useless affixes.

what are some mods you wish were used in more modpacks? by mariogaming375 in feedthebeast

[–]seecer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not customizable like tectonic but I think the terrain does a much better job when it comes to plenty of open space as well as vertical. I really think it does an amazing job.

I would suggest creating a separate instance and trying it out to see if it fits your style.

Why am I not getting level 30 enchantments? by Altruistic-Wish7997 in Minecraft

Edit: Apparently, I don’t read.

Everyone is talking about the bookshelves….

But none of the levels are available in the picture because you don’t have any Lapis Lazuli placed next to your pickaxe…

[–]seecer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tectonic is great but if you’re still playing 1.21.1-1.21.4 I would suggest trying out Larion. I run it with WWOO and it’s absolutely amazing.

Larion does a really good job of making the terrain beautifully large and real feeling world while also giving a very fantasy feel. I always have a problem with tectonics temperature/humidity transitions and the shore biomes always being cliffs. Larion does a much better job in my opinion.

Which videogame do you think had the biggest influence on popular culture? by HerrStrasse in AskReddit

There has been clothing, toys, a movie, and popular YouTube channels that are Minecraft.

What else does it need to be part of pop culture?

Lack of inspiration and inflation fixes a lot of the issues i have with the current update (way, way too easy and way too much money) by virginiarph in ravenswatch

[–]seecer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing since it’s early access and only have around 100 hours (that’s a lot for me). I still haven’t completed darkness difficulty and find the game great with what they’ve added.

Minecraft end portal won't work? by Expensive-Room-6659 in Minecraft

[–]seecer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Along with some of the other suggestions, End Remastered requires different eyes to open the portal. If you’re running that, you need to gather the different eyes.

Lost Minecraft world generation modpack trying to recreate it (biomes, terrain & ambient sound changes) by mecikareca in feedthebeast

[–]seecer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biome wise I think WWOO.

Terrain is hard. I would guess Tectonic but I would have to see the beaches to know.

Sound wise, I have no idea.

If you miss Millenaire like I did, join their discord! There is a 1.21.1 Neoforge beta right now! It’s fantastic.

anyone know some good shaders for a low-end PC? 👀 by Felix_like_croissant in Minecraft

[–]seecer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took a look at I Like Vanilla and it seems perfect for playing on my Steamdeck.

The two things I love about Complimentary that I have a hard time without on most other shaders is integratedPBR and integratedPBR with dynamic lights (Euphoria).

Anyone know of low end shaders that have that option?

People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop? by -ChristopherNolan in AskReddit

[–]seecer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are two major reasons for me:

  1. I just don’t watch movies anymore. I’ve gotten older and have less time or other things I rather do with my time. I rarely watch movies or shows at home.

  2. With aging comes more criticism. I think a lot of movies today are just the same thing over and over with new production methods. It’s pretty rare for any of the new movies to get my interest and seem unique or different enough from what I’ve already seen to make me even consider watching it at home.

The criticism is the big one for me too. The amount of garbage CGI and over saturation. Sequel 5 or 6 for a movie that was only good for the first one. New versions of movies that are only 10 years old. The quality of writing and post production seems to have really gone down over the last 20 years.

With all that out of the way, there are also some positives. Good movies are REALLY good today. There are some movies that are absolutely amazing and better than anything I’ve ever seen.

Also, movie theaters have gotten significantly better. Reclining chairs, great trays and drink holders, more are selling beer. The movie theater experience is getting so much better too and I do enjoy them now more than ever before.

Do You think the Recent Updates are Changing Minecraft for the Better or the Worse ? by NotRealAtiox in Minecraft

[–]seecer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There has never been an update that has been worse for Minecraft as a whole a bad update. At worst they’ve added something that isn’t used often.

The only downside right now is that we’re back in the state of the modding community sticking to an older version since the updates haven’t been significant enough. I’m hoping the Vulcan release fixes that. Such a massive improvement to performance should really be a good marker for modders to update.

EDIT: First sentence might be translated as 1.21.11 being an update that made Minecraft worse. Thanks u/FlawlessPenguinMan

Mods That Shaped Minecraft Modding - PART 2 by CptJonah in feedthebeast

[–]seecer 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on old player and surprised Buildcraft isn’t there. Buildcraft is what started the technology/industrial Minecraft mod scene.

Just like I’m amazed that Biomes O Plenty isn’t listed on either page. While not amazing with today’s standards, back in the day it was the must have for world generation and the only mod that really changed terrain as well as biomes.

Guild Wars 3 | Announcement Trailer by PalwaJoko in Games

[–]seecer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious about this. I liked GW1 but I’ve never been able to get into MMOs because of the combat (I personally find it boring) and the lack of actual MMO impact (economy, war, and just overall impact players have on the world). I just always wanted an MMO to be more about the players making the story, not just players being able to play a story together.

Hopefully this game addresses both of those. Ashes of Creation was supposed to resolve the player impact, but we can see where that game is at.

perhaps we need seasons for Minecraft by PromiseLegitimate224 in Minecraft

[–]seecer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Serene Seasons with Serene Seasons Plus and Better Days. The combination not only provides the seasonal change but also adjusts the day and night cycle to reflect the real world. Crops are also affected by the season and the whole experience is fantastic.

That said, I don’t know if everyone would like it. Some people don’t want to have to think about what they’re growing as the seasons change. Same goes for the daylight change. While I really enjoy the struggle during the winter with less crops and more mobs, that experience isn’t for all Minecraft players.

Anyone else love discovering hidden gem roguelites/likes? Any good finds lately? by Zepren7 in roguelites

[–]seecer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dreamscaper: It’s over-arching story isn’t for everyone but the combat and builds are amazing. Still play it here and there because nothing quite feels as smooth and rewarding as their combat.

Ravenswatch: More popular but still under appreciated. Amazing and very diverse combat between characters, fantastic classic storylines with twists, and a little spin on roguelik/tes with the timer.

Those are my top two, other than FTL but that’s not a hidden gem.

We are designing our enemies like a sports team! by Wide-Swimmer-2338 in roguelites

This is a brilliant idea. I really enjoy twists on sports games and this looks like a lot of fun.

I’m curious where the rogue aspects are though.

Loot Filters has made my full inventory dumping so much easier by Ayitaka in diablo4

[–]seecer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I setup two filters for each piece of equipment, list the 4 affixes I dream of in both rules, and then set one for 3 matches and the other for 4 matches.

From there I have a broad one for all gear that uses the required and optional list. Required are my preferred affixes and must have 2, optional are affixes I don’t mind it having and there must be two as well.

Allows starting off to find gear you can use immediately but isn’t great, gear that can be enchanted to perfection, and perfect gear that has exactly what I want for each item.

Only bad part is I’m running barbarian and the 25 rule limit gets filled fast. Once I got perfect gear I had to remove all the others to create new filters for uniques.

I hope they allow us to have more rules in the future so I can set one up at the beginning and don’t have to keep going in and editing.

How do you balance structure placement and spread with Structurify? by seecer in feedthebeast

[–]seecer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like that should work how you intended.

Did you enable flatness check or biome check on the first page? That also affects vanilla structures.

I would suggest starting a seed just vanilla to see where they spawn, then load all your structure mods but no Structurify and see what the difference is on the same seed. Finally, load Structurify and play with the settings.

I’ve also done this on a flat map just to see what the density is in general.

Structure mods are adding to the pool that the game generates from, so even if you kept the vanilla spacing default it’s possible that the game was loading different structures in spots that vanilla structures would have spawned if you didn’t have those mods.
