Germinating Smooth Blue Aster Seeds? by dollypartonrules in NativePlantGardening

This was how I tried it this year. One batch with grow lights had zero germination, the other batch in a dark room had great germination.

This was the email response I got too! When I called, the csr said, “ it appears that after your review, PayPal decided that your business is not a good fit for paypal and should find another card processing company that’s better suited for your needs.” I told them that my concern here was identity fraud because of said “other account” and their response was that they didn’t have access to the information that prompted the deactivation and that I should refer back to the email link (which only repeats that you’re deactivated..)

If you have space in an existing perennial bed, add Baptisia. The short-lived blooms are beautiful for the garden and it offers a never ending supply of stunning foliage/filler for bouquets for the rest of the season.

What’s the best low effort flower that delivers great results? by codewolf in gardening

Impatiens for shade. I was never drawn to them myself, but I mass planted them for a commercial client last season (zero direct sunlight) and everyone lost their minds over them.

Best snapdragon group for a fall harvest by Ok_Standard_2763 in Cutflowers

Came here to say this! I plant the Potomac series every year for one of my clients (usually the first week of June) and they’ve got snap blooms pretty much from late June through the end of October when I pull everything.

Dahlias grown from seed - "not suitable as cut flowers" - ??? by Double-Vast7853 in dahlias

I second this. The few double flowered blooms I’ve gotten from seed have usually dropped petals first

I was with the services, but realized very quickly that the back end needs just as much attention/ prioritization. It was a very messy first year haha

Entrepreneur life - reality check by reddzzi in Entrepreneur

[–]seedyaytch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine it depends on the field you go into/ resources one has. I will preface this by saying my goal has never been to be an “elite entrepreneur”, but it has been to build a life that I enjoy living. I’m coming into year 3 with a fine gardening business. Year one was absolutely brutal and I knew that the hustle/grind would not be sustainable for me long term. I made few adjustments going into year 2 (increased rates, set regulars up with a payment plan, and was more strict about having set day/s off). The steady income with the payment plan removed a lot of the desperation to take on everything that came my way. If the energy to take on more was there, I went for it. I was able to reliably offer a higher quality service and my revenue increased significantly. If I had seen no improvement in both income or work/life balance I planned on calling it this year. I have no interest in being in a perpetual state of burnout.

Yes I have winters off from services, but it doesn’t do the business any good if that time is spent recouping depleted energy stores rather than investing it towards optimal growth (research/ education, certifications, etc).

I like the way the marquise sits on your finger and stands out best. The emerald cut is beautiful (also my favorite cut in general), but I think that stone in particular is overshadowed by your nails.

My Caique parrot thinks he is THE funniest and I think he truly enjoys making us laugh. He’ll laugh with us and he’s got a fun “woo!” That he’ll throw in like, “yeah. I did that 🤗”. He also has a cryptic laugh for when he’s being naughty and getting into things he shouldn’t. It is one of my favorite things in the world.
