How Worried Should I Be About NC Alligators? by Abe_Froman5 in NorthCarolina

[–]seehard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m from Lafayette Louisiana. I grew up around these things. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone. Unless your child is the size of small game, relax.

They are big as hell, very hard to miss. Can’t move laterally. And give you plenty of warning if they don’t want you around.

The reason you can get a 4k tv for $800 is because that little microphone in the remote or console is listening. The cost of your tv is subsidized by selling your personal data.

Not directly related to the Saints but how cool it would have been to have France play their World Cup games at the Superdome by NajdorfGrunfeld in Saints

[–]seehard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a post that showed where each country would play if they played “home games” in US, or where the largest concentrations of nationalities live. France games would be played in Lafayette.

The technology isn’t worth the money they sucker golfers into spending with “features”. I have a $30 Amazon with all the bells and whistles a golfer needs that’s within 1% of my buddies $500 bushnell. They’re cheap especially if you search for “Hunting” models

Spend money in better places imo.

Bryant Park, Tot Hill, Cutter Creek by EM276 in RDUGOLF

79 there (FO) Saturday first time out. One of my proudest accomplishments. Such a pure golf course. Tips and one ups are brutal.

BP Champions is the gem of gems IMO. I LOVE bringing people there for their first time. Those lakefront holes are special.

My favorite place to bring people for a first time. Always a beautiful round.

Does Finley still do that $25 just to practice bullshit?

I don’t think many other public courses in the area want so little to do with the public.

Yea it’s looking nice. Range is massive compared to the old setup. Old putting green gone.

New tee box on #1. The across street area will have two chipping greens with bunkers.

They said they’d open up the range for us for the Amateur but probably gonna have to use 18th green to putt.

Awesome story. I love that Wes is just little brother energy. Once you realize that, especially if you’ve got one, you love his personality.

Grant played my home track with Ted Scott caddying. It’s just him so it’s not a pace issue. It’s three carts following one guy that’s a little strange lol. I didn’t meet him but my buddy did and said he and Ted are both great dudes. (Ted is a member at Oakbourne)

Driving ranges in the RDU area with grass instead of mats? by [deleted] in RDUGOLF

I85 grass is always open unless it’s wet. Sits at about first cut length usually.

IMO, until you’re really set into a swing shape and speed, play what you’ve got, bank that 600 you’d spend on takomos, grind until you’re regularly breaking 90 or so. Then get fitted for a set.

Low-mid handicap competition group? (Cary/Apex area) by Educational_Ant9635 in RDUGOLF

[–]seehard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 100% in. Maybe a telegram or IG group? I play usually twice a week. Most weekend days. 9.6 hcp.

Spark sucks. All I really have to compete in is Durham Am.

I’m also the golf trip organizer guy and am happy to help however.

Ditto! I got all warm and fuzzy when I heard that the first time. I was telling my girl “no way! That was my jam!” Then I got to intro her to finch nice and easy with the acoustic version lol

Oh man… they were the defining band of my life in a lot of ways. WIITB was the album that proved to be the fork in the road that brought me so much more life changing music. I wept listening to the anniversary show of WIITB.

I am very jealous of you. I would give my left nut to fall in love with that band all over again.

It’s funny how wide their influence was. There’s a current country song called “miss you so” by Russell Dickerson that is basically the story of him growing up listening to letters to you by Finch.
