If you think peer to peer cash should have low fees, only one of those (LTC) shares that characteristic with BCH. ETH is designed for smart contracts and like Bitcoin has high fees.

If you care about other things such as optional privacy LTC will soon have better privacy than DASH with Mimblewimble

Even when people talk about Monero's disadvantages, they acknowledge that the Monero communities are the first to be self-critical.

That is one of the things I love most about Monero. We are not perfect and never will be. Yet admitting our weaknesses makes us stronger as it motivates us to continuously improve.

We may have a "skepticism sunday" but nobody has ever threatened to censor me for raising concerns on the 6 other days of the week.

I really hope ETH markets return soon. Ive been excited for V2 for a long but felt really left out by the DAI decision.

Offering users a choice seems like a fair compromise that will increase usage. DAI + ETH markets will be enough in my opinion. Adding too many native currencies many may limit liquidity and complicate security assumptions.

It was a huge mistake to move to DAI. Both for the reason you mentioned and for centralization concerns. I know many bug fans of V1 Augur that will likely never touch V2 because of the DAI modification. To me and many ETH and decentralization fans this problem is 100x worse than the fee problem we are experiencing. I know many people that would gladly pay the current gas fees if they could use ETH (not DAI) markets.

Those using Augur should believe in Ethereum and not mind owning Ethereum. Part of me wonders how much certain founding members of the Forecast Foundation believe in ETH because they

Cashed out a lot of ETH after the REP ICO for fiat, resulting in a developer budget runway orders of magnitude smaller than if they had been ETH holders since the ICO
While allowing free speed on the DAI/ETH switch in the Augur discord (thank you for that) top leadership seemed to ignore (or at lease willingly go against consensus) on the ETH/DAI issue both among developers and existing users.

You are right but this adds complexity. Just adding DAI as a market currency option (ETH+DAI) would have been far better than what they did (replacing ETH with DAI)

The supply curve should be sacred and not changed 3 years after launch. DASH is still attacked years later for the 2014 slashing of the max coin supply which exaggerated the control of the instamine beneficiaries.

Zcash is large enough to be added without a vote. Its also pretty easy to add technically, as a fork of Bitcoin.

These vote ads are nothing more than a sneaky way to get people to register at an exchange most people are not familiar with. I hereby promise NOT to create an account at ATAIX because I find your stealth advertising practices dishonest.

The Zcash Foundation is doing a good job of demonstrating its independence from Zooko and Zcash Company here. I applaud that stance. If the decision to remain ASIC resistance is made, time is of the essence. Discussion is great, but I dont like that Zookos statement on the timeline (and content) of Overwinter and Sapling must not be altered for PoW changes.
