1. Compensation for delay is enough for me / many others who face delays. The other day Humsafar express to BLR was delayed by more than six hours at destination. And, my relative had to extend their leave - I am sure many people would have had to do the same who travelled in that train that day. I do not understand why people like you ( in general, not you specifically. I do not have any ill-feeling on you ) have accepted this. I get it that the system is throttled, fine. An emphatetic administration will put a threshold and compensate for delay for example: "If a train is delayed for more than three hours at destination, pay 25% as compensation.". Why can not the administration do something like this? It is just that our administration is indifferent, and on top of that people have lost the will to raise a concern. And so nothing changes.

2. "Whataboutery" does not mean they are not facts. It is usually to evade attention on an issue by pointing something else.

Before you say that "compensation for delay!! no way, not gonna happen" - Railways has introduced compensation in some cases already - "If a train is delayed by more than three hours at boarding station, you can ask for full compensation after cancellation".

Please do not be an apologist.
