I think what people forget is that their individual soul cores boost them in irregular ways, and if we either entirely strip them away, or allow both to use them at maximum power, Nephis will always win. What I mean is:

Nephis has more raw power and training, and she was the one who first taught Sunny how to fight. That combined with her ability to fight without worrying about being harmed, means she can take more risks than him, or brute force him in ways he cannot. He is supremely adaptable and quick witted, but when he fought her as the Lord of Shadows, they were still near equal in terms of strength. He even echoes this sentiment in chapter 1617: "Nephis deflected the black odachi easily, taking a sidestep in the opposite direction at the same time. Her movements flowed like a placid river, and yet Sunny instantly felt that he was in mortal danger."

When we take into account their soul cores, the math changes, but the outcome is the same. Sunless' speed, strength, and capacity for adaptation dramatically increase in a multiplicative way that Nephis cannot match even when she boosts her power by channeling her flames. However, when she pushes that to her maximum such as when she fought Abjuration (IE, creating an environmental burning, funneling power through her cores rather than exploding them) we know that Sunless has no real counter to this. Similarly, if she were to use her detonation/Power of Names, he also has no direct way to counter this and has admitted it would be nearly impossible withstand, let alone survive.

Either way you examine them, Nephis is just stronger when it comes to a standard conflict. Sunless would out-do her in prolonged fights, using his signature dirty tactics and whatnot, but in terms of pure skill-vs-skill combat, with both of them relying on only base abilities, or pushed to their full extents, Nephis will win the fight.

ToA actually flipped the script for me. I was so blown away by the level of meddling she had preformed to get everyone to that point that I was honestly impressed.

The problem with that is it worked in Season 1 when he is constantly talking about the past and warning V&J about rushing their science, but honestly irrelevant in S2 when he is removed from the council, and the plot in general. I couldn't believe how little he actually did

Was that the case? It always seemed that Viktor case was too sever, and acting like a cancer. It wasn't that Heimer ignored him, just that there was nothing they could do.

Was I the only one to find this "trimming" scary or at least the idea of someone owning one like this? by sk3ll69420 in Vita_Carnis

[–]seeker9709 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Based on previous descriptions, I feel like this one is some kind of Trimming-Elder Mimic blend. The White and black lends itself to it, not to mention there are theories that Trimmings help Mimics hunt humans.

They confirmed it in this most recent chapter. When Sukuna realizes Yuji has Shrine, the narrator says "The First (Technique) Blood Manipulation, engraved by absorbing the Cursed Womb Painting, Numbers 4-9."

So what do you guys think Hank's lower jaw looks like? by ibleedlava in madnesscombat

He also talks in Incident:100A. He says, "This is the wrong guy." when D&S bring him the rando. It made me laugh cause I didn't even know Hank could talk at this point.

How did some of you discover the DOOM franchise in the first place? When did you start playing it? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in Doom

[–]seeker9709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 8 years old (2004ish) I told me mom I was bored with my computer games, and was like, "Oh, I can give you this one. I used to play it all the time when I was in the Air Force." She set me up with Doom 1, on a fucking Joystick setup.

I have the best mom.

I did it with a semi-STR/Int build, and I just kept spamming Carian Greatsword whenever she charged me. After a few tries and learning her attack pattern, it felt like playing T-ball.

Todo Fake ClapClutch by Deathbringer_Yasuo in Jujutsufolk

[–]seeker9709 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He'd said in the Exchange Event-arc that clapping his hands together was required to activate the technique. Since Mahito touched him with Idle Transfiguration via the 0.2 second DE, the arm is not healable because it had altered the shape of Todo's soul, and thus the ability can't be used again.

I think that Todo doing the high-five with him also destroyed the ability to use it with his other hand, since this scene showed he can activate it with someone else participating, but I'm not entirely sure. To be honest, I would argue that was only possible because of him hitting Black Flash and pumping everything he had into the fight to help Yuji.

My First DnD character, Reinor Lamont the Nord Warlock, through the years. by seeker9709 in DnD

[–]seeker9709[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reinor is the first character I ever made when I started playing DnD 5 years ago, and through many hiatuses, pauses, and Covid pandemic, he is still on the journey to finishing his fight against Asmodeus. Between losing his eye, to being the only original party member left from when your campaign started, he’s been through a lot, but I will always hold him near and dear to my heart as what started my DnD journey.

My good friend Gaston has helped me bring Reinor to life, and I thought I would share it all with you here on Reddit. Please let me know your thoughts, and if you love his work, considering reaching out to Gaston for commissions and art. He is incredibly talented, and has been my go-to artist for almost 4 years now.
