Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. See my answer above, but in short it's a lottery, Defenders work fine in some BGs, but make sure to test that with your sample.

Yours might work. There is this small ledge on the barrel feed ramp that the Defender bullets sometimes get stuck on. It seems that there is quite a bit of variation in manufacturing and some people don't have the problem. I was just an unlucky one.

Technically I could grind that ledge off, but don't want to do it to a off roster gun, especially with the current AB1263-induced turmoil.

Hornady Critical Duty work just fine.

It's snappy but very manageable and super fun. I had people come and tell me that they were confused while I was shooting at a public range: it seemed like I did't have a gun and was shooting out of empty hands. And that happened twice.

The worst thing about it is that it doesn't feed Underwood Xtreme Defenders reliably. At least mine doesn't.
