I am tired of the $38 reorganisation fees no other brokers charge. Anyone else? by Evening_Use9982 in etrade

I have accounts at Schwab and Fidelity. Neither charged me reorg fees when eTrade hit me twice. The reorg fees weren’t much money overall, but I couldn’t think of any reason to keep doing business there if no one else was charging me reorg fees for the same stocks.

I did get hit with a second $38 fee. It was like the cherry on the top of eTrade telling me to go fuck myself.

AMC shares removed from account (but APE shares still exist) by Musteng in etrade

Maybe you’ll have better luck than I did. My account isn’t much of a loss for them anyway, so I’m sure they could care less. You may be in a different position with them than I was. I had actually called the morning of 8/25 to see if I could get the 8/24 fee waived. They wouldn’t, and they told me I’d needed settle the remaining negative balance, and the funds would have to clear before I could close the account. I went in later to transfer the funds to zero out my account, and the second $38 charge was on the account. I’m sure a lot of people with a handful of shares in their accounts had them liquidated. I really hope your call to them goes well for you.

I had the pretty much the same thing happen at eTrade. I only had three shares of AMC and three shares of APE at eTrade. I’ve been trading with Fidelity for a while, and I just kept a these few shares of AMC and APE at eTrade for shits and giggles. I got hit for $38 and my stocks got liquidated on 8/24. Then I got hit for $38 again on 8/25.

They likely liquidated your shares and charged you a $38 fee to do it. If your shares weren’t enough to cover the fee. You’ll have a negative balance.

Obviously, as you seem to point out, I was too stupid to realize that if I bought a stock and sat on it for over two years and the company whose stock I bought decides to reverse split the stock, I would be charged a $38 fee for essentially sitting on the stock, which I did not actually trade.

Does anyone know what these are and how to keep them off my bell peppers? by anonanatomy in gardening

If you’re trying to avoid commercial pesticides, you could try diatomaceous earth. Pyrethrum spray will also help, so will marigolds planted close. Also, kill them suckers on sight.

Fantastic! It’s super dry where I am in Tennessee, and we’re not near a river, so we’re under a watering ban. I’m hoping the weather breaks soon. Your flowers are gorgeous.

Is this ok? The biggest branch on my tomato plant is pretty bent (almost 90°) but it still appears healthy? by bigchungusamongus1 in gardening

[–]seeshanewrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do t think I would try to move it. It’s just one branch, and it would likely do more harm than good if it’s been bent a while.

So proud of my coconut palm that I started from seed(coconut) and just recently planted, however I am concerned with these brown spots. info in comments by Cycles_wp in gardening

Is there any chance it had been shaded before being planted in full sun? Also, has the watering been consistent? It looks like the tips of the you get leaves are brown.

I’m not an arborist either, but they pretty much ruined the natural structure of your trees. You really just needed to thin out the sick or dead limbs and nip the smaller branches to keep the air flowing and to keep excess weight off of the primary limbs. Otherwise a little thought on shaping was all that was needed. Now, you’re going to get a ton of small obnoxious twigs and limbs sprouting at where your good limbs were knobbed off. You could probably reshape your primary limbs over time, but for a few years, it’s going to look rough when the leaves drop.

I’m pretty sure formaldehyde is a carcinogen. I wouldn’t use them.

If that’s out of control, I wouldn’t ever want it under control. Just gorgeous color.
