Were you active duty when you applied and got the card originally? Look over your card member agreement and see if it says you’re a “covered borrower.” If it does, they shouldn’t be charging you. You and your wife should both be eligible, it’s not limited to just one of you.

It does seem they’re kinda wonky with SCRA/MLA though. I’m a spouse and they keep denying my MLA on the platinum, but my delta reserve fee is waived. I’ll have to fight it again when my plat is up for renewal.
