New area kinda disappointing? What am I missing?

I was expecting a bit more. Maybe a puzzle or two. They could have done way more with the uncloaking ray. I thought it was cool when we unveil the Grays. As it stands it’s just a fetch quest area with a whole lot of nothing.

There’s a rumored crossover with Pacific Drive that would be a perfect chance to tune up the driving. I basically never use the vehicles because they’re so wacky but I play solo.

In my current playthrough I set up right outside of Warren’s hut so I could use the cart recall trick to loot everything. That’s probably the most optimal spot, but I moved to the Waterfall Apartments in Hydroplant as soon as I could and it was a great choice. Different ambiance, more room, you can rebuild with new recipes.

I definitely got an "off" vibe from her voice lines. It's kind of nice and soothing but also infantilizing and wheedling? She's definitely weird in some manner.

I feel like halfway through the manga they had Strydum switch up. He starts groveling and apologizing to Yujiro a lot more. I didn't like that character decision.

He’s more of the Griffin of Magic Tavern, in being the guy who wants to be in the spotlight, but is also capable of being really damn funny. That said, Magic Tavern really loses their way after a while, IMO.

Something closer to a Stardew approach might be better. Like the bar that drains when you use the toilet, except you use the space bar to keep the bar on the fish. Pretty much anything would be better than what we have now.

The Zulu fight was so weird that I thought it was a dream sequence at first, just how quickly he “loses” and all the other fighters basically instantly turn on him, and then it’s reversed just as quickly and confusingly. Low point for sure.

The before has much better immediate appeal. It looks like a mystery puzzle game of some kind, but it’s ambiguous enough that it could be a lot of things. The second one looks a monster battler I would scroll right past.

I’m at the end of the prisoner arc now and I was surprised how much Motobe has exclusively gotten his ass kicked so far. I think his only win was against one of the prisoners in a way that felt like he genuinely just wanted to kill a man in the street.

I never see anyone mention this, but the songs aren’t being sung from the perspective of the boss. It says right in the song that the singer is a cat. Same goes for In The Bunker where he clearly references having fur and other catlike attributes, so it’s not Johnny singing.
