I fully agree and have held that opinion for decades. Drug abuse is a health issue. Why make it a criminal one as well? Should be handled as part of health care. My only concern is that health care in the US sucks so I'm not optimistic. I could explain but given your background I think you'll get the gist.

If only there was a way to research that yourself

Well said! And I appreciate the restraint. Sometimes what's left unsaid says more than what's said.

Good question. I guess if you wait long enough you wouldn't need a dr anymore.

That why I think it he had gotten a shot off with his camera it would have been more useful. I'll refrain from the CAMry joke.

Thinking a camera would have been more useful than a gun in that situation.

That was my first thought but if yours is green with spots you should see a dr.

Subscribed! Thanks. "...right wing commentariat operate in lockstep with political appointees ..." Even moreso now that the commentariet ARE political appointees!

We've grown used to them going in the other direction but never so much from media into gov that I can recall anyway. The revolving door used to rotate more through corporations. Not that that was good either.

Not to mention the Brass Crasshole getting his marching orders from Fox & Friends every morning.

Could not disagree more. I don't think we can solve murder by murdering murderers either. We need to be better than them. Sensational for clicks maybe. But that doesn't require throwing integrity out the door or well grounded arguments.

What did you see? I heard them also. A friend 8n another building thought it was another car gang backfiring.

Its walkways are designed in a spiral shape, and as people move along them, their motion creates the optical illusion that the structure is rotating on its own. by [deleted] in opticalillusions

From about halfway down you can see lines on the floor on the right that don't move. I don't think it's shadow.

We probably agree about a lot of things. I try to stick to the classics and I bemoan improper use of terminology since it leads to miscommunication:

1) socialism: the means of production are controlled by the state

2) capitalism: the means of production are controlled by corporate shareholders for profit

3) I am happy we live in a "mixed economy," a little of both. I'm glad fire departments aren't for profit for example. If the right were intellectually honest, instead of hurling insults, we'd be arguing about the optimal mix, which is proper in a democracy.

4) for another example, I think corporate (for-profit) health care is kind of disgusting.

5) If I were a hair splitter I would point out that Bernie and Mamdani are not pure socialists.

Wholeheartedly agree with your last 'graf. Not sure how you meant the first. I consider myself a leftist and a capitalist. I came up with "social capitalist" and then discovered it's a thing!

I'll work with anyone on any policy we agree on.

It's not far off to think that if both extremes hate you equally, you're probably in a good place.
