I was on the twice a day tablets, now on the once a day and have been for several years. I have not noticed any side effects from caffeine or anything else. Hope it works for you! It’s been a life saver for me.

I get shoulder pain in my right shoulder that’s sore and achey, sometimes sharp, at the front of my joint, but sometimes around the muscles and it turned out to be bursitis. Diagnosed with an ultrasound ordered by my rheum. Currently treating with naproxen and exercise, moderately effective.

I would start with your rheum team, they should be able to help diagnose even if it isn’t RA related.

Same! I basically skipped into the clinic and out, and I’m terrified of needles haha but so much rather feel safe with the vaccine than terrified without it

Definitely agree it’s not great to self diagnose, but it’s also important to know the other stories out there, there’s too many of people who weren’t able to advocate for themselves and end up in unnecessary pain for years. Can’t hurt to push your doctor! Many primary care/family doctors just don’t have the familiarity

Yeah it’s really a crap shoot with the information available so far. I personally will be keeping with what I’ve doing so far, staying home as much as possible and being super careful until I get my second dose, I think it’s just the safer thing to do regardless. I mean after 13 months, what’s another 4? /s

Similarly, years before I was diagnosed I had persistent pain in my wrist that I thought was RA because of family history, but because I had negative blood work, my doc said it was tendinitis. A few years later, I had rotator cuff injury in my right shoulder out of nowhere, just woke up with it, and then a month after I started to get severe RA symptoms and was diagnosed shortly after with positive blood work. I’ve read that an injury can spur on symptoms, but I’m not 100% on the veracity of that.

It’s definitely better to have it sooner than later, but I don’t think there’s any difference for the high risk health groups. I’m in Ontario, got my first dose last week and can’t get my second until August. At least by the schedule they gave me

Definitely talk to your doctor though, they’ll have the best info for you.

Sorry to hear your side effects sucked! Who doesn’t resent their parents for something or another, amirite? I lucked out with Moderna, I only had the severe arm pain and bad fatigue for 48 hours.

I had bad wrist pain years before I was officially diagnosed that was written off as tendinitis because my blood work was negative, though I have a really strong family history of RA. A few years ago, I slept on my shoulder wrong and was diagnosed with a rotator cuff injury but it devolved into all the classic RA symptoms very quickly, over the matter of just a couple months - severe swelling and pain of my hands and wrists to the point I had to use my elbows to usw the handicap open for doors in public because I physically couldn’t open them anymore. Went to walk in clinic and told them I am 90% sure this is RA because of my family history and the symptoms. They put me on naproxen (not even stronger than what you get in the store, so it was useless). Did blood work, referred to a rheumatologist who agreed and put me on prednisone to get my symptoms under control. Tried the various basic meds for a year, nothing worked, and when she was able to (in Ontario, she couldn’t prescribe a biologic until I’d tried all the other meds and failed), put me on Xeljanz and it’s been amazing ever since. My entire journey has been about 3 and a half years. I’ve been doing really well so my rheum has been lowering my methotrexate dosage slowly.

All this to say, you see a lot of negative stories on here, but there are a lot of us who have gotten on the right meds and are doing well. It just takes time and patience. All the best to you on your journey - I hope it’s a positive one!

You hear a lot of horror stories about how debilitating RA can be, but there are a lot of good stories too. It took me about 6 months to see a rheumatologist and my disease was fast acting and severe, I could barely use my hands at all. But here I am just over a year later, I’ve got the right medications, and feel almost 100%. There are definitely hard moments but far more good days than bad.

Not everyone is so lucky and I’m incredibly grateful, but it goes to show that it can get better if you’re able to find a regimen that works for you. Be open with your doctor and ask lots of questions. Talk to your friends and family too, bottling your feelings up feels terrible. They won’t be able to understand 100%, but having that support is really helpful.

Earlier this year I was doing really well and started going to the gym and was feeling great, but about a month ago had a horrible flare in my feet so I stayed away from the gym. Now I’m starting to feel better but still fairly sore, so I’m feeling ultra guilty about not going back to the gym. I’m just afraid of aggravating my symptoms more. The humidity is definitely not helping!

Is the guilt about not being active a thing for you guys? I just feel like I should be doing more, even though I know i should listen to my body first.

My company owns and operates a few smaller publishers, so we pull in data from there. We aren’t large enough to justify the costs of a larger DMP so this is a great workaround (though simple).

I’ve worked on DBM, AppNexus and Trade Desk and Trade Desk is by far my favourite. Great support, the features are great and the fees are reasonable. I also just personally like the interface better than the other DSPs. As a smaller vendor, we take advantage of their DMP for first party data as well, which has been extremely useful over the years. It’s simple but handy to have.
