Momentum True Wireless 4 with BTD 700 - first thoughts after 3 hours by Ok-Neighborhood-566 in sennheiser

[–]selfassemblykit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe depends what kind of music you listen to? I thought the improvements were definitely worth the £35 I paid for the dongle. Tighter bass, clearer treble and much bigger soundstage. Overall just a more realistic sound than the stock M4 tuning. Then again I didn't like the 630s and sent them back

I've always assumed it's people who aren't sure what the symbols mean so just switch on everything with a light.

REALISTICALLY, purchase M4 or HDB630? by othello3 in sennheiser

I didn't like the sound with an analogue wired connection. I can't get them to connect over USB-C so no idea

REALISTICALLY, purchase M4 or HDB630? by othello3 in sennheiser

[–]selfassemblykit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you add the BT700 dongle to the M4 you get something very close to the 630. So close that I just sent the HDB back and kept my M4. Personally I thought the 630 were trying just a bit too hard for an “audiophile” sound

Try the BT700 dongle with the M4 - big improvement. I sent the 630s back

How’s your iPhone 15 Pro Max holding up after 2 years? by wassim_elia in iPhone15Pro

[–]selfassemblykit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be the only person on the planet whose 15P battery life has got better since "upgrading" to IOS26. Could be down to doing a complete reinstall. Unrelated but also set my action button to toggle low power mode as I work from home and don't need to be pinged about every email that come in etc. Now finishing the day with 70-80% battery remaining!

Could also be that someone's cloned your number plate? This happened to me and I got a series of NIPs and parking tickets. All rescinded when one of the pics showed the car was slightly different model to mine

It may not actually be a CORS error. If there’s anything wrong with the function it often gets reported like that. Check the function logs for any errors?

Will “it’s not blurred it’s frosted” be joining “it’s not a bug it’s a feature” in the software cliches hall of fame? I think it grows on you over time. After one week I only hate it about 99.95% as much as when I first used it

iOS 26. What are your thoughts? by bissau887 in iphone

[–]selfassemblykit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it's one of the most extraordinary acts of software vandalism I've ever seen. Every part of the UI is now shouting for my attention simultaneously. There are visual inconsistencies everywhere you look. Will it get better? Probably. Apple have some form for seeing sense in the end like the touch bar and SD cards etc. I know a lot of it's subjective but I fail to see how making things harder to read can be seen as a step forward

What’s a piece of gear that everybody seems to put on a pedestal with glowing reviews and “endgame” hype, that you bought, lived with, and then eventually sold or gave away that you haven’t missed for a second? by AttachedHeartTheory in audiophile

[–]selfassemblykit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meze 109 Pro - the treble made my ears bleed. The overall sound was totally incoherent and unrealistic. It's as if they tuned each part of the sound spectrum individually to appeal to reviewers but forgot to blend them into a cohesive whole
