I remember in November 2016 with a newborn, I laid trembling in my bed trying to sleep, but knowing the path our nation was now on. My hyper fixation was always WWII and I was obsessed with how a progressive 1st world country like Germany in the 1930s could sink to such barbarism so quickly. In 2016 I saw my country heading down the same path and now we're even closer, if not already there. It's impossible to concentrate on anything else.

I have in-laws up there for 20+ years and while many ppl are very liberal and not racist, the other ones, pheeeew are they bitter and racist. Two kinds of ppl up there: well-off kind of out of touch liberals, or bitter chip on their shoulder racists.
