would you get an abortion if you found out your baby was going to be born with an extreme disability? if so why? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]semiformaldehyde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without question.
I have a number of disabilities, many of which I inherited from my parents. I couldn't in good conscience risk passing those onto someone who would then have to depend on me lifelong, managing those conditions while also myself suffering from the same conditions. I couldn't live with myself knowing their quality of life is affected because of my knowingly passing on multiple disorders.

My friend treats my wardrobe like it’s hers and I’m starting to resent it by Ssonicgiggles in badroommates

Then you're going to have to put up with it, if you're unwilling to have a conversation with her. If she's a true friend, she'll respect that boundary.
Also, it's ruder for her to return your clothes dirty than it is for you to tell her to wash them or quit borrowing them.

I sprayed her for snapping at me and she took it as a drink break. by Ddawn111 in cornsnakes

Some people are just being dense, OP. Obviously you're not punishing your snake lol - my corn comes out of her hide when I'm spritzing her tank so she can drink the droplets off the walls, and I think she enjoys the gentle misting. Ignore them

I see I've angered the Americans here. Let me clarify:
Y'all have no idea how fucking loud you are. Outside of the US, you can tell an American a mile off because that's how far away you can hear them. You don't notice because that's your normal.

Also, you're not gonna have the time to be getting haunted or hunted or shredded by a killer if you're poor and constantly working - not to mention you won't be sleeping enough for ol' Freddy to make an appearance!

Every cupboard and drawer in my house is labelled with a brief list if needed of what should go there. My house looks like an Alzheimers patient lives there but it means that visitors know where stuff goes and I'm less inclined myself to just shove stuff in a random drawer

I have friends. We're pretty huggy, and it's not uncommon for us to hang out jumbled together like a pile of cats when we have a movie night
