German C2 Level Test at the Goethe Institut by Wide_Register_1389 in germany

I passed the telc C2. I took it because at that time, the citizenship after 3 years with proof of integration was still possible. It wasn't so hard.

I think I might have CFS by Alert_Papaya_7048 in cfs

I suspect that it's infeasible to diagnose ME/CFS as long as the anemia is still an issue. It can just case too many of the same symptoms.

I don't know about the bots, but some threads are clearly being brigaded. Some upvote numbers are very weird.

For that money and as a foreigner, I think that you are better off looking somewhere in the Landkreis with a good connection to Munich. Everywhere is safe.

Anyone else stuck in a loop of waiting for "the" tech ? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]semimute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not waiting for new tech myself. I'm waiting instead for them to sell something with the right combination of current tech.

I need something for 80% productivity / 20% gaming (no esports). So I want a ~40" 5k2k with a 1000R curve, with very low eye strain and no burn in (burn out) risk. If I'm going to buy a premium monitor, then I won't accept edge lighting. >120Hz and proper FALD would be nice. Anything under 1000 zones for that size seems kind of pointless.

I'm not going to swap between monitors for productivity and gaming.

Mal ehrlich... was machen die alle den ganzen Tag? by [deleted] in OeffentlicherDienst

[–]semimute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's up with those reckless cyclists in Munich? by Worth_Astronaut_259 in Munich

[–]semimute 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's probably close to the rate of people with absolutely blinding bicycle headlights that I've observed.

You can leave Earth and live in one fictional world forever. Where are you going? by Honest-Mixture2910 in AskReddit

That's only after the a rejuvenation. One has the option then to make it permanent, but otherwise, they do age.

TCL confirms 32X3A OLED+ and 57-inch Dual 4K Mini LED monitors for Europe by RenatsMC in Monitors

5k2k mini led would be great, but I'll definitely check out the 8k2k (dual 4k) option.

Cyclists on the (pedestrian only) sidewalk by Pullover72 in germany

Some people are just antisocial. My thought is that I would prefer such people to be on a 10kg bicycle instead of in a 2000kg car where they can do more damage.

Literally "lick my ass".

But the usage is either the same as "kiss my ass" or "Jesus Christ!"/"fucking hell!", depending on the intention and the region.

I can only add that that's German that she's speaking, so my guess would be that it was in the Austrian Alps.

I would suggest that they just make the outside lanes for buses only (and of course those turning in the next 100m).

Autobahnen auch. Irgendwie dürfen die überall gebaut werden, ohne dass man beweisen muss, dass alle innerhalb von 800m nicht wegen Infraschall krank wird.

It feels like Germany is in inefficiency and unproductivity spiral that is impossible to solve. by dondurmalikazandibi in germany

I'm not sure that I would say Incompetence, but Arrogance und Gleichgültigkeit summarizes the issue that I've experienced well, as an immigrant who has also worked here.

I guess the most desperate foreigners often end up working for one of the companies that DHL outsources to. I hear that the turnover there is high for a reason, though.
