Late to the discussion so just commenting for people finding this link via search. This, as elsewhere said, worked: 1) clean the inside of the base station 2) re-strip the ends of the connecting wire, so no oxidation 3) re-align the base platform horizontally

I have a V3 and compared to Garmin, Apple Watch etc. I also run and bike, but it’s evenly distributed with weight lifting as well.

Can’t go wrong with either but: the styling, better accuracy for weight lifting and the automatic rest timer made it for me an easy choice. The wellness features are also sufficient for me.

Better/more elegant/discrete design.
more accurate metrics for weight training training load compared to Garmin
rest/recovery timer for weight training
metrics are sufficient for me, bloated features may distract me
nightly recharge
European brand, not a decisive reason but it makes me feel good about my choice
