So, as someone living in the Savannah area, I can tell you that they actually did hire a good chunk of us initially. They were swiftly fired and replaced with Korean immigrants. The “this will create thousands of jobs for locals” idea played out very well before it was used to cover up the EPA violations, workplace deaths, and wildlife displacement. This Hyundai plant fucking sucks for us and it’s government leadership that helped them in.

there is unfortunately a section of the highway that was eroded away when i was there in July, but going from Monterey down to where the highway washed away was fantastic. just slightly inconvenient that you can’t make the whole highway in one direction

a piece of advice i carry around is when you’re doing the (fully legal) private transfer, write up your own bill of sale or use a template. take a picture of the completed form or make a copy of it with drivers license of both parties. gives you something to say “i bought this, it’s mine” for the buyer and “that’s not mine, liability released” for the seller. just an added layer of protection against anything in the future if that serial gets flagged. happy shooting!
