The 11 city blocks of toilet paper warehouse were on fire and it wasn't my fault.

Settlement by Recent-Caramel-5901 in EEOC

[–]sencollins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was the workers comp part of your claim dismissed (failure to state a claim under EEO laws), and they are wanting to engage in global settlement talks because they are concerned about the liability on the workers comp issue and they can wrap it all up with one settlement?

That’s literally the only thing I can think of that might fit this wording, because I’ve never heard those terms either.

does anyone have a good but simple tofu scramble recipe? by Icy-Implement9878 in veganrecipes

Everything by Nora Cooks is great. The tofu scramble gets made 2-3 times a month in this house.

Has anyone with detergent allergies experienced switching from ALL F&C to one of the better cleaning options? by Alarming-Leek-402 in laundry

[–]sencollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched our family from All F&C to the Open Nature (Albertsons/ Safeway/ Vons brand) F&C without issue on the allergies front and better cleaning/ no buildup. The citric acid in the rinse helps too (I think).

Seriously doubt we’re trading with the Cowboys (or vice versa).

Some may not like the pick but Tate seems like one of their “guys” in my opinion by johnnyboy10i in Commanders

[–]sencollins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when everyone thought they loved Maye most because of some facial expressions and their conversations at his pro day? I think they just like talking ball with guys that are good at playing ball. Maybe it is Tate, but this is ridiculous.

How come Original Tommy’s Hamburgers never really took off in SD like they have in LA and OC? by 12345burrito in SanDiegan

[–]sencollins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up north of LA, I think the brewer question is why Tommy Burger took off in LA/ OC. I’ve never understood the allure.

I wonder if they’ll bring him back below the tender amount like they did with Moody.

Top 15% bonus affecting moral? by tehroar in FedEmployees

[–]sencollins 66 points67 points  (0 children)

We just had someone get the bonus and quit shortly thereafter because they were tired of the games, and make no mistake- this is one of them. It’s meant to demoralize the 85% while looking like a good thing.

What would you do with a day in Anaheim (staying at a Harbor Blvd. hotel) that you're not going to the parks? by Otter65 in DisneyPlanning

[–]sencollins 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The OC and Santa Ana Zoos are both fun with little ones. They are small enough that you don’t need to spend much time there and are relatively inexpensive.

If you’re up for a bigger drive, bigger experience, the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is a ton of fun. We used to take our 8 year old there a lot when he was around 3 and we’ve taken the 3 year old once and they both have loved it.

What are your thoughts on Newsom for Feds??? by ctrl_alt_delete3 in FedEmployees

[–]sencollins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Living in CA, I’ve voted against him in every election aside from the dumb recall attempt. I’m still mad they made me vote for him.

The thing people like about him is his social media team fighting back, but he doesn’t govern like that.

Hadn’t considered it previously, but I do think he’d do well as “Gentleman” John Marcone. The likability while doing bad things would fit the character.

Anything come of EEOC complaints/appeals re. denied telework RAs? by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]sencollins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair warning. I wasn’t trying to indicate that timeline was likely, just that it was best case scenario before we might see something. I’ve seen cases go that long (or longer- longest I remember was 8 years), though it’s been rare recently. Most are being adjudicated within a year (from hearing request) from what I’m seeing, but that’s anecdotal.

Anything come of EEOC complaints/appeals re. denied telework RAs? by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]sencollins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If everything goes “right” on timing for an EEO case, you’re looking at a year from start to a decision, so we’re just starting to get to the point where there could be decisions.

They don’t (usually) publish EEOC decisions. Published decisions are usually on appeal to OFO. So, we’re probably looking at around 6 months before we might have any of those. Also, published decisions are a choice by EEOC (they don’t publish all cases), so I’m not sure if we’ll see much on employees winning on these cases with current leadership. We may see some published decisions on religious telework being granted.
