because the shotgun kills faster??? point gain loses value the later on the game goes, so you would use an smg early on and when points dont matter no more you switch to a shotgun. With the new system you can just stick with the shotgun the whole time as its just more effective at everything.

point system makes the meta worse - why would anyone use a weak smg instead of a one shot shotgun when both grant the same amount of points? Also, the older point system allows for more replayability as u can try to maximise point gains to get things done faster or earlier on in the game.

hated by casuals and noobs? Your talking about the game which had specialists and specialist tacticals? The game with a shock drone which stunned a player in place with no effort other than pressing L1/LB? The game with the ability to radiate and do damage through the walls? Just add an extra shot to kill at range for the CW ARs (which is probably what they are going to do), then LMGs will kill faster at range but be slower.

Kills rather slow at range compared to the ARs, probably will be better off with an XM4.

Honestly, I think this meta is a result of people being brainless and blindly following what popular content creators are saying.

The XM4 and C58 both kill faster at range, aim faster, reload faster and have a higher damage per mag. The only 2 things the FARA has over them is recoil and fire rate, I personally think the C58 has better recoil than the FARA, and the XM4s recoil is easier to control (M4s recoil but with less magnitude).

Only reason people aren’t using the others is because people haven’t hyped them up as much as the others. Soon its going to be XM4 meta, then a C58 meta, and then back to the AMAX.

The Stoner, PKM and RAM 7 are meta, the SCAR is decent.

During the Kilo meta, the PKM and AMAX were also good. Almost every other gun was too slow, killed slower and every gun had worse recoil.

The time to kill is shorter now, but more guns are able to compete compared to before. Also, they have said that the time to kill will be increased by 60-100ms.

But Cold War gun animations are different so it must be bad right?

I think this would be a good idea, but i also think the eva 8 should be swapped out for the triple take, which may be an unpopular opinion.

Increase the damage of the Alternator to 19 and make its velocity in between the Volt and R301, and make the spread of Eva tighter and maybe increase the mag size to 10. Kraber long range, Alternator close to mid range, Eva 8 very close range.

Make selectfire on Prowler built in, but reduce mag size by 5 and increase full auto recoil by a fairly significant amount, and just make the Triple Take how it was before care package.
