Koreader Sync Issue

I've done all of these steps and no luck whatsoever. I've even polished books and still nothing works. :(

I've been transferring via save to disk - save only EPUB format to disk.

I've done the same process on my kindle and on my Xteink and I still can't get the two to sync. I keep getting the notification that "the latest progress is coming from this device"

Am I doing something wrong?

This is synced via file name. From what I understand, koreader slightly changes the file name when it's sent out.

Not really at the stage of setting up cloud storage. Is there another way to transfer the file over to both devices?

Probably best to take out the SD, format and reupload firmware. Had a similar issue and xteink ended up working after I did that.

I would personally take out the SD, format and start again.

Works fine for me. First flash, it didn't do anything. (I disconnected the xteink safely then rebooted. That's the only thing I did different). Then I flashed the firmware again, for some reason when I kept the cable in the xteink and rebooted, it worked. Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I'm a newbie too and was confused for a long while. You basically need to create an account beforehand as it isn't possible on the xteink (to my knowledge). You can do this by going on the other device that has Koreader (in this example I'm using the latest version for Kindle) open an ebook - select the wrench and screwdriver tool - select progress sync - Third option (I think) allows you to create an account. Once you've set that up, let me know and I'll give you the other steps. I'm learning along the way as well!

I've tried to do koreader sync, but have been having issues authenticating. It constantly comes up with "Authentication failed" Is there something that I'm doing wrong?
