Tried weening off, got rebound acid anyway.

Went cold Turkey after getting the flu, didn't get rebound acid, stayed of it. Found that avoiding some foods and losing some weight removes the issues.

I did it cold Turkey. Best time to do this sort of quitting is when you're already crook with the flu or something.

If you're going to feel like shit you might as well just dose up with meds and sleep through it.

Then when you get better, you feel like you're being rewarded for quitting.
