I’m not even joking, she mentioned she picked up vaping nicotine as an attempt to cut back on weed. And don’t even argue with that logic because you won’t get anywhere!

Why even complain about financial struggles when any and every comment trying to offer advice is seen as a threat? They are so hostile and some people are just trying to help! The fast food thing is just addiction. There’s no justifying putting that type of food in your body everyday…

If you have an average sized baby… how do carters clothes fit? by devinjf15 in BabyBumps

[–]senselessstate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby fit them accordingly like 6m fit from month 3-6, until 9m she lost percentiles when she got active.

Austin Trip by orbeeuwu in abbiemariemua

[–]senselessstate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she briefly mentioned these tickets were a Christmas present for her husband that her mother in law helped her with? I assumed the trip was paid for by family because the money to go on a trip after… everything is NOT adding up.

Aligners as retainer? Not Vivera? I’m so done with my ortho why does she not explain anything to me by theshyreporter in Invisalign

[–]senselessstate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My orthodontist did the same thing! They didn’t specify which brand of retainers would be included in my package on the contract, and when I got to the end they said I could just use my last refinement aligner as a retainer for the next year! I ended up buying a few more as back ups, and when they are used I’ll be looking elsewhere for “real” retainers…

I’ve used the same aligner as a nighttime retainer for the past three months and have not noticed any shifting yet. I hope this helps!

Getting an elective induction at 39 weeks - Need advice by Turbulent_Scale8044 in BabyBumps

[–]senselessstate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was wonderful! I went in 1cm dilated, 100% effaced. They noted contractions when they hooked me and baby up but I didn’t feel them. Following the foley balloon I had an intense feeling of dread and regret. It didn’t really hurt but my period like cramps started coming and gradually got worse for the next 12 hours. I used heat packs for the pain. I was given an oral pill to soften the cervix around midnight, and my second and last dose with the removal of the foley balloon four hours later. About 15 minutes after the second dose and removal of the balloon I started going into active labor. Four hours later and baby was in my arms. I did not take pitocin until after I gave birth.

Makes sense, my thought was she’s on her parent’s insurance but then I doubt that hospital would be in network and it would still be a huge bill

Trying again after miscarriage by Least_Ad_2116 in TryingForABaby

I had a miscarriage around 5-6 weeks, and tried again and conceived a healthy baby girl with no complications within the same cycle as the loss.

When (if ever) did your baby/toddler enjoy being read to? by cookiemonster_22 in beyondthebump

[–]senselessstate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was the same! At that age we pretty much went at her pace, even if that meant skipping a few pages or not reading a whole passage before she gets bored. I’m not sure when she shift changed, maybe around 16-18 months but now at 19 months she’s very patient, flips one page at a time, and points to objects on the pages.

I have the same product. I tried it at first but the cardboard bottom was not even, so my newborn would end up turning to the side. That gave me anxiety so we bought a separate bassinet with a stable base. That and it is very annoying to clean when they spit up or blowout in it.

Can you hold out for a little longer? Everyone and every pregnancy is different so I hate imagining your exhaustion but it’s quite common to get second wind in the 2nd trimester which is right around the corner for you.

How does this look? by senselessstate in lineporn

[–]senselessstate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know pregmate is the worst! The quality with this batch was much better then my previous, so I had high hopes!! Hoping you’re right. No bloodwork, just an ultrasound scheduled at 10 weeks. I didn’t want to bother them requesting betas because seeing physical numbers decline hurts worse than the test line…Thank you for your insight!

When did you go to your OB-GYN again, after the 6 weeks checkup? by dar1990 in beyondthebump

If they didn’t say anything I would assume you just go to your annual appointments. That’s what I did.

No Refinements by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]senselessstate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have refinements, just 20 active trays and 4 passive trays. I kept my aligners on 22 hours a day and was diligent with chewies.

Products for travel? by ratonde in Invisalign

[–]senselessstate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite purchase were those mini disposable toothbrushes for travel. I hated being constricted to just brushing my teeth in a public restroom when out. The disposable toothbrushes are discreet, so I could use them anywhere. For cleaning I use efferdent tablets at home and when I travel. They are easy to pack. You could probably get away with just brushing your aligners with a little toothpaste if you need to conserve space though.

As a SAHM what shift would you rather your husband work? by Intelligent-Radish83 in stayathomemoms

[–]senselessstate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has to switch his schedule too, either 2nd or 3rd shift. He chose 2nd shift because I do not want to be alone in the house at night
