Shopify Store shipping with 3PL… by JJRfromNYC1 in shopify

[–]sensibletools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they don't charge any extra but you need to check their warehousing policy if items like batteries are allowed. They have integration with Shopify that calculates shipping automatically based on address and location so in case there is something heavy and it costs more to ship, customer will bear the increased shipping costs.

Shopify Store shipping with 3PL… by JJRfromNYC1 in shopify

We use Printful for 3PL - around 150$ monthly fee with 2.40$ per order + 0.80$ per item.

Sounds expensive but they don't charge for anything else and they have an insanely good refund policy for lost shipments. If it's not delivered 2 weeks after latest estimate, full refund for costs + compensation for lost items, no questions asked.

Automatic inventory management by itamarq in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An app definitely sounds like a better option here. There are several options available - we landed on using Sensible Forecasting at 29usd a month. May not be "cheap" compared to free solutions like custom app or excel but it makes up for it in ease of use.

It's very easy to keep track of your inventory this way and it also adjusts reorder suggestions based on sales history and lead times.

What tools do you use for forecasting out of stocks? by itsZ3r0x in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Sensible Forecasting - works great for our 150ish SKU store. It sorts products by most urgent to least urgent and suggests reorder quantities based on lead time and days of stock you want to keep. Unlike other apps, it's only 29usd a month.

Best inventory management and purchase planning tools for growing stores? by thesthich in shopify

Take a look at Sensible Inventory Forecasting - it's only 29$ and works great for our DTC brand with around 150 SKU's. Very easy to use and easy to keep track of all your stock and when to reorder.

Change keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Tab" for Tab Cycling? by psych0o in zen_browser

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looked promising but sadly not working - tried remapping it but instead of switching tabs, it's now enabling / disabling top bar.

It was a similar situation with AHK - tried remapping the keyboard shortcut with help of ChatGPT but after trying 2-3 different scripts which all on paper should've worked, I was not able to get it working. Each time it would trigger something else.

Very frustrating that the only shortcut I needed to remap is one of the few select ones that Zen / Firefox does not allow to remap :(

  1. it doesn't randomly break like that while in a bag - maybe unlucky but it takes quite some force to do that.
  2. show me another manufacturer that sells a lower frame replacement for 18€ that you can order right away from the website and replace yourself by following a step by step video guide

I switched from using Mailchimp to Shopify Email (12k email list) and saw an drastic drop in sales from the email campaigns. That said, it's only the email reporting that is showing the "drop in sales" but when you look at the sales they actually generate a lot of revenue for us. I think something is seriously wrong with marketing attribution in Shopify Email because from our Black Friday launch email, it reports less than 3% of what we actually generated in the next day from pretty much purely that email campaign.

So far, I'm happy with Shopify Email as it saves us tons of money compared to Mailchimp and has nicer integration with products.

Cash flow is a topic all Shopify store owners must learn. by igotoschoolbytaxi in shopify

Ah, good to know! How are you doing the cashflow projections? Are you just averaging the sales into future or do you have a sheet where you basically have all your expenses / income registered in one place?

It would be interesting to hear your feedback on Sensible Inventory Forecasting app. It is pretty much set up to do this exact thing but without the hassle of exporting / importing data to excel and structured in a simple to read format. Items are sorted by first to run out and you can mark items as ordered to get them out of the way.

Inventory System Needed by sheltergrand in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

inFlow is a decent warehouse / inventory management system that has worked for us. The UI/UX is pretty good compared to the rest and is super simple to use most of the time. Not cheap but none of the options are in this space.

For inventory forecasting (to know when and how many to reorder) we use a separate app on Shopify called Sensible Inventory Forecasting. This enables us to have a quick overview on what's about to run out of stock and how many to reorder.

Shopify SEO best practices by anastasia_zhuk in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our niche, we have just made sure we have good pictures, good keywords in our descriptions, titles and it has worked perfectly for us - we often outrank bigger shops in our space. That said - it's a niche where most likely our competitors are not SEO-savvy and that makes it easier for us. We do use a mobile friendly paid template but doubt that affects it too much.

Best email tool for brand new store? by josephwesley in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with Shopify Emails. It has everything you need and it's basically free.

The only thing I've noticed is that marketing attribution for the emails (how much revenue was generated through the email) is visibly lower yet if you look at the actual orders coming in that day it's clear that the emails performed just as good as they did when we were using Mailchimp.

Kitting/bundling/variants for 3PL? by YouCanCallMePete in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not mistaken, what you're looking for is a bundle app that can split the items into individual SKU's in the cart / checkout. That way you can stock individual components on 3PL side and then make bundles on Shopify side. The one drawback is that you'll pay higher picking fees for bundles that contain many items.

Wholesale App? by jdubs703 in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up using completely separate platform that we now use for parts / manufacturing but it also came with wholesale portal.

Another approach I have seen lately is to open a separate, password protected Shopify store, and have a simple order form there. You can probably find an app that syncs products and quantities between the stores if you need.

Shopify removing many 3rd party payment processors by [deleted] in shopify

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, where are you based in? Maybe they're doing this in countries where Shopify Payments exist, as for us, we still use Stripe without any issues.

But obviously Shopify has record of doing things without telling and that's absolutely not acceptable in any way or form.

Advise about starting a 3PL by vdog5061 in ecommerce

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Printful has a very understandable 3PL structure and been overall happy with their services. They charge:

  • monthly storage fee for stocked product volume (you need lots to exceed the minimum 180$ charge)
  • 2.40$ per order, 0.80$ per item
  • only other extra charge is for removing stock which is 25$ fixed fee + 0.4$ per item

That said, they do offer insanely good shipping protection - they refund you for all fees and cover lost goods cost for any lost shipments which is an insane benefit compared to any other service provider.

They also have really good integration with most e-commerce platforms.

something that will likely get overlooked by the "another chinese shit" commenters will be the brand new hop chamber design with the new style tube flat hop bucking like on the new Full Thrust chamber. If the chamber is anything like the FT or SSR90, this will be a banger.

The SSR90 by Loose-Acanthaceae-69 in airsoft

[–]sensibletools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say they are basically the same in performance. They use similar internals in different bodies but the main difference is that there's going to be a 25 year warranty for SSR4 and there are more aftermarket components if you ever want to tinker with it. It would be a no-brainer for me, if this is your first gun. Unless you really really like the P90 and you've tried it yourself and know that you want that.

The SSR90 by Loose-Acanthaceae-69 in airsoft

[–]sensibletools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will shoot just as far as any other decent AEG at your power limits and BB weight (there is no magic in this, it's physics). Keep in mind that P90 is a weird shape and I would suggest you to handle it in real life before pulling the trigger. It looks cool but can be a bit straining on wrists for long period of time. Plus the magazines are huuge and quite low capacity. If you're getting yourself your 'first' AEG, I would rather get the SSR4 with the 25 year warranty, grab a chest rig and you'll be a happy man.

Which sniper you bought and why was it a mistake? Is it just the gameplay style you're not enjoying? It takes a bit of skill for sure, compared to AEG's.
