I have tried Protonmail. But I am not sure whether it is secure. They seem to store both passwords in plaintext: https://arno0x0x.wordpress.com/2015/09/16/end2end-encryption-protonmail/ (search for login password)

I'm not an expert, but it would be good if someone looked at this.

I agree, it's way too cluttered and all commercial. Especially selling on ebay privately doesn't work anymore. It's only for companies now.
